The Surreal Life Finale - "Ice Ice Storm"

I can't believe it's the season finale already. Wish they'd bring C.C. back for this, but alas, it's Rob, Ron, Pepa and Traci fighting to the finish for the dough. Traci slept in Verne's bed in memory of her fallen teammate. Pepa asked Ron to conspire with her against the other members of the team. All of the gang get GPS systems, delivered by Robin, along with some pretty blatant plugging. Robin's ad copy was an introduction to this week's challenge - the goal is for the cast to make their own commercials (for Golden Palace.com, of course. They have to direct, produce and star in their ad. They all have 15 minutes in the studio to create a 30 second spot, and a focus group will judge which is the best. Ron and Rob were confident, Traci and Pepa not so much.

Rob went first. He was energetic and the only problem he was having was that he was going one to two seconds over the 30-second time limit. Ron had a run-in with standards and practices altering his script, which threw him off. Traci was having problems too, so the camera crew decided to focus on her breasts-s. She felt confident that she was going to win this challenge. Pepa was also experiencing problems and she felt like she bombed.

The focus group is assembled and is ready to judge the spots. Rob's comments included he's “hot" and “hip and now" (delivered by Rob's nana, I think) and got kudos across the board. Ron got a lot of laughter. The group commented on Ron's infamous past. One of the panel members said he looked sleazy, which Ron took great offense at. Traci won the male members of the panel over, although one guy said her boobs were a distraction. Pepa came off as “not believable", “horrible", “unrecognizable", and “not sexy" - she basically got torn a new one. Robin announces that the winner automatically advances to the final round, and that winner is...not Rob (gasp!), but Traci – who felt really good that she beat Rob. The remaining 3 have to vote one person home by secret ballot. Traci was dancing around the house. Ron suggested that he bow out, leaving Traci to face Rob – a prospect which frightened Traci, but Rob called “BS" on Ron's strategy. Ron made a promise to Pepa that he wouldn't vote her off – the three are teaming up to bring Rob down. Rob figured out that there was something up. Ron thought the best thing would be to force a tie. Rob said he and Ron had a pact. Now, how can Ron have pacts with both Rob and Pepa? Hmmm...

It's time. The team members get 2 chips that they must use for the secret vote. Ron can't vote himself off – he's only got chips with Rob and Pepa's names on them. Rob loses and confronts Ron immediately. He's really mad – so much spo that he grabs the drum kit out of his room, throws it at Ron and proceeds to smash up the set with the drium kit. Ron's really upset as well – not only because Rob called him a backstabber, but because he felt like one, and lost Rob as a friend in the process.

Pepa and Ron face off in “Back to Reality." Ron is slightly discombobulated, but surprisingly, Inga doesn't appear fazed by Rob's little outburst. Tonight's game is “Stick it in Google." The object of the game was to determine the number of hits each of the cast members got on Google. C.C. had least amount of hits (I demand a recount!) Traci was next (she said she actually had more hits on MSN.) Then it was Brigitte and Chyna. Ron has gone with Andrea and it finally pays off (she got 2.4 million hits – can you believe that?) Emmanuel Lewis had 4.2 million hits. Ron is up 2 to nothing. Who got 4.6 million hits? Pepa guessed Verne, Ron guessed Pepa – and won. Ron will now face his friend Traci in the final round. Who had the most hits on Google? Ron, with 27 million hits.

Robin arrives and picks up Traci and Ron to take them to their final challenge. They head to a dark alley towards a cloaked, shadowy figure. (Looks like a bad porn, if you ask me.) The shadowy figure is Kathy Griffin, who gets to decide who wins the 100K. (Umm...LAME!) She gets to grill Ron and Traci. Traci saw a vision of Verne in a Jedi robe telling her to “do it" for him. Ron got called out for his Crocs (Traci was dressed in a full length evening gown and Ron was dressed “like a trucker".) The first challenge was a mock award acceptance speech. The second challenge was dealing with hecklers. The third challenge was a Dancing with the Stars rip-off. These are dumb challenges. Why should Ron win? He thinks he's a relevant part of pop culture and would be accepted as an A-lister. Why Traci? She's worked hard and was stressed (she had some sort if post-traumatic distress as a result of her dad's death while she was in the house – who knew?) Kathy has made her decision – Ron and Traci go to 2 doors – one opens to another alleyway, the other opens to Robin and a big, honkin' check. Ron saw alley, Traci won all the marbles. Rather anti-climactic ending, if you ask me. Ideal scenario – C.C. winning! Maybe next season...
