Wayne wakes up having some sort of fit - no it's a dream that he had an enormous tree branch through him, a la Wayne Rich. Is "the life" getting to him? He wakes up on the sidewalk, encountered by one of the neighbors. He feels (finally) like he might actually be a fraud. Ginny is still parked in front of the house.
Dahlia is finding herself bored, so she decides to go to Sherie's dentist appointment and ponders the possibility of getting a job of her own. She doesn't seem to like being a housewife. She has a one-sided conversation with the mailman and seems to be losing it - just a little bit. Aubrey is taking control of "Wayne's" affairs and seems to be keeping his head above water. Di Di gets mad that Cael is still getting phone calls from Tammy. Emo boy, now known as Eric, meets Cael and big bro doesn't seem that thrilled to meet him. Cael gets invited to a bar with his new buddies - they apparently need some new fake IDs.
Wayne's having some problems processing one of Hugh's cases, so (of course) he brings in Aubrey for help and information. Dahlia shows up at the office to bring Wayne some lunch. She is fed up with being a housewife. She has an entreprenurial magazine and thinks she can open up her own business. She needs to do something. Hugh encounters Dahlia and tells her that there could be a place for her at Panco. She walks out and goes to her dental apointment. The staff at the dental office is very happy to see Mrs. Rich. She's not there for an appointment....Wayne meets with the Buford Simpson attorneys. Dahila gets the job - as a dental hygenist. Wayne is still baffling them with B.S. When the Simpson attorneys start rattling off previous cases, Wayne counters with a bunch of nonsensical case names, such as monkey v. chestnut (which sounds like vintage Izzard) and feigns passing out. Wayne explains that he suffers from narcolepsy. Hugh buys it, with a slight bit of skepticism.
Wayne's concerned that there's beer missing - he's mad that he had to pull a "sleeper" (Cael seems disappointed that Dad copped out like that.) Dahlia announced that she has a job, as a dental hygenist. She seems excited to take on her new position. Her first day, Dahlia shows her complete ineptitde as a hygenist. She does however excite her first patient by using that spit-sucky device (not the technical term, I'm sure) in an kind of nasty manner. Aubrey asks "Doug" why the name "Wayne" keeps coming up. Hugh gives Wayne 48 hours to take care of the Simpson case. Dahila finds a well-stocked drug cabinet at the dentist's and walks away empty-handed. The dentist knows she's not a great hygenist but he likes her, so she stays on. The dentist's wife passed away 2 months ago, and he's really depressed. He seems to know that she's been alone too. She ends up taking some pills for the road.
Doug is out of the bed again, sitting outside. He runs into the neighor who teaches at the local university. He says he learns a lot from his students, which piques Wayne's interest. He sets Cael out on a little fact-finding mission about the university. Ginny breaks into the Riches house. Wayne is a guest lecturer in a class at the university. He has a "test case" for them to discuss...hmmm...wonder what case that could be? He seems to get the answers he needs and rewards the students with cookies. Cael and Brent (his new friend) are putting together some fake IDs in the living room. Wayne gets a phone call...from Ginny...Uh-oh.
Ginny finally shows up at the door for a confrontation. Ginny's been casing the palce and knows everything. Ginny hasn't told Dale where they are...yet. Dahila grabs Cael out of his class to confront him about his meeting with Tammy. Cael misses life before they were the Riches. Ginny's up to something - back at the camp, she gets some money from her brother - and a gun. Dahlia walks into the dentist's office and finds him OD'ed on the floor. Wayne meets with the Simpson attorneys again, armed with the knowledge he got from the students and Aubrey. And, of course, he managed to pull another successful con, avoiding a court case. Dahlia came into Panco to tke Hugh up on his job offer. Wayne doesn't want her to work for Hugh. She doesn't want to be apart from Wayne. She doesn't feel they're "together" anymore. Eric joins the family for an uncomfortable pizza dinner. The dorbell rings, and Wayne goes to answer it. It's Ginny's dim-witted brother (and Di Di's "fiancee"), Ken. Gee, looks like Ken's moving in. Di Di's not at all happy.Guess this was the deal they made with Ginny. This is getting good...
