Heroes- .07 Percent

New York? The presidency? New York? The presidency?New York? The presidency? New York? The presidency?Linderman provides this chapter's opening voiceover, which is pretty much just a fancified "previously on". So...previously on Heroes Sylar had Suresh and Peter where he wanted them, Nikki/Jessica was confused, Claire ran away to find Peter but ended up with a Grandmother instead, HRG was caught challenging The Company by Candace/Mystique, Parkman was being held by The Company, and Hiro got his sword only to jump to the future and discover NYC went kablooey after all.

Planet. Eclipse. Title. Let's save the world, y'all! In four easy to digest location-based storylines!

PRIMATECH: Horn-Rimmed Glasses is being held prisoner by his former employers after Candace's betrayal. Speaking of Candace, she comes in as Claire, hoping to get info from HRG. He doesn't buy it and besides, the Haitian wiped his mind, there's nothing to be gotten. Eric Roberts, The CEO, comes in and tells HRG they've been going easy on him. As soon as orders are given otherwise, he's in trouble.

Left alone to ponder that one, HRG starts "talking" to Matt Parkman via his mind, through the walls. He tells Parkman how to escape his cell and then sends him off to get Sprague. A reticent Sprague gets in on the plan. With the advice HRG is sending to Matt, Sprague learns how to "burn bright, not hot" and create an EMP. He shorts the power at Primatech, the guys grab HRG, and they are free.

At fast-reader/Charlie from Ugly Betty's cafe, the trio talk about how to bring The Company down. HRG says there is a tracking system based in NYC. Parkman, who "heard" the name Linderman in the CEO's thoughts wants to hit Vegas first and take down the Chairman. HRG says no. The tracking system is what keeps them and Claire in danger, and it has to go first. Sprague's always wanted to see New York, so the guys agree.

LAS VEGAS: Petrelli and Linderman are continuing their meeting from the last episode. Looking at Isaac's work, Linderman tells Nathan that it depicts the future. And then he brings a flower back to life, just for kicks. Everyone's a hero these days!

So, about these paintings...one of them shows Nathan in The Oval Office. And all he needs to do to get there is let Peter blow New York up. Linderman says the explosion will create the hope-void necessary for the Heroes to band together and save people (I know, umm...just go with it). Sure people die, but just .07 percent of the world's population, and that's worth it. Nathan will think about it on the flight back to New York.

Out in the 'burbs, DL confronts his bipolar spouse. He tells Jessica/Nikki that Micah needs a better home than this. As they argue, a couple of Lindergoons show up. The head honcho needs to speak with Jessica/Nikki. Linderman wants to met with Micah, and "borrow" some of his special powers. Jessica/Nikki tells him no way and then walks off like a bad ass. Too bad The Company has a little lady named Candace who can take on the appearance of anyone. She gets dressed up in her Jessica/Nikki best and leads an unsuspecting Micah to Linderman. The jovial old villain asks the boy with a smile: "How would you like to save the world today?"

NEW YORK: Mohinder and Pete are right where we left them- totally screwed. Sylar goes to cut Pete's head, but tada! He heals. He pushes Sylar away and goes invisible. Sylar levitates a whole bunch of glass in the air and hits InvisiPete in the head with one. He's dead. While Sylar is enjoying his victory, Mohinder rushes him with the map on wheels.

At the Petrelli residence, Claire is getting some backstory from her newly discovered Grandma. She knew about Claire all along, but thought it was best that Nathan didn't. Now she thinks it best that she and Claire go to Paris for a while. When Claire is older, she can decide if she wants to "choose this madness", as her Grandmother once did. Ooohhh...what's her power?

Sylar wakes up and sees that Pete, Mohinder and the list are gone. The only thing left is a scrap of paper that leads him to Isaac. Speaking of Isaac, he's passing his latest Hiro and Ando adventures on to a messenger. Isaac seems to be saying goodbye to the man- he knows what fate awaits him.

Mohinder arrives at the Petrelli's with Peter. Grandma Petrelli sends Mo' away and cries on Pete's corpse. Umm, hello? Healing man? I half expect Grandma Petrelli's tears to revive him, but no, it's Claire who has to do it. She pulls the glass out of Pete's head so he can patch himself up. Nathan, who arrived on the fastest plane ever (himself?) is stoked...this means Linderman's prophecy could still be right.

As Peter contemplates the glass that was stuck in his skull, Nathan pokes around for answers. If lil' bro explodes, can he heal again? Does it matter? Peter asks. Think of all the people who would die. Oh, just .07 percent, no biggie. Peter is too far into his own world to worry about Nathan's issues. He wants Claire to stay. Maybe if she's around, he won't explode.

Back at Mohinder's house, we learn that he has called The Company for help with Sylar. But instead of HRG, the CEO has shown up. Ruh-roh Mo', you don't want to get involved with these folks.

Isaac paints calmly as Sylar sneaks up behind him. "You're late", Isaac announces. He's not scared. He knows his role, and it is to die, today, at Sylar's hand. Not before, however, he reveals how to stop Sylar and the bomb. The messenger, earlier? Is that who now has the blueprint for salvation? I can't wonder for long, as Sylar commences head-splitting.

Back at the Petrellis, Nathan is a little too enthralled by the painting of him in The White House. He casts further doubt on his motives as he talks to Claire and decides to send her away with her Grandmother, potentially ensuring Pete's explosion. Just one week, he tells Claire, and then he'll be a good Dad.

Adding to the uneasiness, a bloody-handed Sylar paints the future over in Isaac's studio.

NEW YORK, IN 5 YEARS: Looking over a desolate NYC, Ando finally suggests to Hiro what we all must have been thinking at the end of the last episode- just go back in time and fix it, douche! Hiro inexplicably wants to find Isaac first. They go to his studio which is, of course, all Sylarified. Strewn across the room is a timeline of article clippings on strings. As they survey the scene, future Hiro shows up, looking a bit perturbed. Weird.

NEXT: Their mission is to save the world. But what would happen if they failed? We'll look 5 years ahead into that precisely frightening future, where Claire has BROWN HAIR! Egads! The stakes are too high, Heroes, you cannot fail!
