Burn Notice- Identity

broken glass, everywhere, if it ain't about the burn notice i just don't carebroken glass, everywhere, if it ain't about the burn notice i just don't care

Michael's mom has found him a new gig: helping out an elderly neighbor who was scammed out of her life savings and beaten by a man claiming she won a contest. Though it's not going to get him any money, the gig will get him information from his mother about the men who came around looking for him and planting bugs. Following his mother's lead, Michael uses the barter system to get Sam and Fiona in on the job as well: Sam needs a place to stay for a week, and Fiona, umm...needs to slink around and try to win Michael back, so it's an easy trade for all. With that, our three former spies are off and solving a crime.

The elderly neighbor can only give them the contest letter she received to go off of. No matter, as they track it to yacht-owning sleazeball Quentin.

Michael gets into Quentin's con-crew by posing as a former partner's parole-jumping cellie. When Quentin hesitates to get involved with Michael's scam, Sam escalates things by planting paperwork that makes it appear as though Quentin's apprentices are trying to screw him. Fiona, meanwhile, miswires a car disabling device so that Quentin's car explodes. Thinking his team was going to run off with his money and kill him, Quentin has only Michael to turn to for help.

Michael convinces Q he should have the apprentices killed, and promises that he knows a guy who can take care of it with a quick money wire. Then, he uses his constant FBI tail to his advantage, telling Quentin that the Feds are there because of him. Quentin gives Michael his account info for the wire, not wanting the FBI to see what he's doing.

And Michael, with access to Quentin's bank info, transfers all of the conned money out of the account back to the various marks Q robbed. Of course, he gets Quentin arrested as well.

For his troubles, Michael gets a phone number from his mom. The men who visited her told her to call it if Michael ever came back to Miami. Michael calls and is greeted by a mystery man who knows the burned spy has been busy. Despite being asked nicely, that mystery man declines to explain who is.

...Someone who had something to do with the burn notice and why Michael is in Miami, we can only assume?

Fiona's Accent

What the hell was up with Fiona's accent (or the lack thereof) and the worst explanation in the world for Fi losing it?

My spouse's theory about

My spouse's theory about Fi's accent is that G. Anwar couldn't keep it up consistently! Not very nice, but there you go.

I'm really liking this show; thanks for the recap, Megan!
