Only four episodes into the new season and already we've hit a lull. What have we seen over the past two weeks, if not the rehashing of old plots, ideas, themes, and yes, even lines? I lost count how many times I heard variations of "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry" between "Daleks in Manhattan" and "Evolution of the Daleks."
The Daleks looking pitiful? Check! That was done with the Ninth Doctor.
The Daleks trying some new master plan to make a come back and take over the universe? Check! Both the Ninth and the Tenth Doctors have dealt with that problem.
In all honesty, I felt so little originality coming from these episodes that, to use a cliché, they felt "phoned in," like no one was bothering to come up with anything new or different.
So, in honour of these episodes being "phoned in," I phoned in my recap.
