The Real World: The Birds (Episode 16)

This week starts off with Isaac writing a note on the dry erase board.  It says he has faxed himself to China and will call soon, along with some other illegible nonsense.  All the roommates are very confused.  Isaac just took off.  Shoot to two days earlier.  Isaac is in bed with Noirin. He goes downstairs to the kitchen and a black bird appears in the background.  Way to go MTV on the CGI black bird and fancy editing.  Isaac tells the camera that he used to do a lot of acid and occasionally he sees birds.  He is used to it because he knows he has flashbacks but when he sees a black bird something is wrong.  He is used to seeing the occasional parrot and macaw but black birds are another story.  He calls his friend back home and urges her to call his mom to make sure everything is OK. Why doesn't he just call her himself? Meanwhile, Ashli probes Dunbar about his life.  She asks him flirty questions about his family.  Ashli tells the camera that she is boy crazy and loves the challenge.  Dunbar knows that Ashli is attracted to him.  KellyAnne doesn't seem to think Dunbar will screw things up with Julie.  For the sake of this season, lets hope he does.  It will certainly make things a little more interesting.   The next day, the kids go to work.  They are split into two teams.  Team 1- Isaac, Trisha, and Parisa.  Team 2- KellyAnne, Ashli, Cohutta, and Dunbar.  They are competing against each other for the rest of the time.  The winning team will get a two week all expenses paid trip to Europe.  Trisha is excited.  She thinks they have the best team because Isaac is fun, Parisa is responsible, and Trisha is fun and responsible, thus proving she is full of herself.  KellyAnne is a little skeptical about her team and doesn't think they will win.  Let face it MTV isn't going to send half of the roommates to Europe.  They will all end up on that trip.  Parisa thinks her and Trisha working together will bring them closer.  Trisha and Parisa grab a bite to eat.  Trisha says she is glad they are on the same team.  Let the reconciliation begin! Meanwhile, Isaac is moping around the house acting very somber.  He obviously still stressed about the black bird.  He says the last four times he's seen black birds someone has died.  He jumps online and finds out his grandfather passed away- proving Isaac isn't actually nuts just really strange.  Later that night, he goes out with Noirin.  He tells her all about his grandfather.  He risked his life to smuggle weapons to Israel during World War II.  He says Noirin is helping him feel better.  Isaac tells Trisha that he might be flying back to Ohio tomorrow.  She doesn't really question him as to why.  Trisha tells the camera that Isaac is a private person and pressing him to talk just pushes him away. Dunbar calls Julie.  Julie is depressed because Dunbar isn't around.  Ashli tells the camera that Dunbar having a girlfriend makes him a waste of a roommate.  She fails to mention he is also a waste of life.  Later that night, all the kids go out. This random girl is all over Dunbar.  Her name is Greer and Dunbar is trying to resist.  He looks outright afraid of her.  Ashli sees this interaction and immediately starts dancing up on Dunbar.  Greer confronts Dunbar about the sexy dancing with Ashli.  Ashli comes up and interrupts their conversation.  Ashli pulls the valley girl bitch move and tells her Greer she is being a slut.  Ironic, being that Ashli was acting sluttier than Greer.  Greer dismisses it and finally walks away from Dunbar.  Ashli tells Dunbar she just doesn't like her.  The next morning, Isaac prints a picture of him and Noirin, packs his things, writes his weird note, and leaves for Ohio.  He doesn't feel like mentioning this to the roommates because he simply doesn't have the time.  Dunbar rants how Greer was trying to get with him.  Ashli laughs about her confrontation with Greer.  She insists she doesn't usually do that.  All the roommates have a good laugh at Greer's expense.
