Why NBC never used celebrities in The Apprentice is beyond me. Not only is Jenna Jameson helping sell hot dogs (way too perfect), but the 14 celebs vying for the title of Celebrity Apprentice are also raising tons of money for charity. Finally! A reality show that actually gives back!
Before I recap last night's madness, here are your 14 celebs: mode/actress Carol Alt, (don't worry, I didn't know who she was eaither), Biodome's one and only Stephen Baldwin, Olympic gold medalist Nadia Comaneci, Playboy Playmate Tiffany Fallon, the other gold medalist, Jennie Finch, Business women Nely Galan, Actress Marilu Henner, Boxer Lennox Lewis, America's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan, former Apprentice star Omarosa, Ultimate Fighter Tito Ortiz (a.k.a boyfriend of Jenna Jameson), Sopranos Vincent Pastore, KISS' Gene Simmons, and Country Star Trace Adkins.
Trump has split the group into two teams: males and females. After sending the groups to choose their team name, men being Hydra, women being Empresario, the teams get their challenge. Selling hot dogs on the streets of New York. From the get go, Omarosa is up to her old tricks. She immediately volunteered for Project Manager of her team, and for some reason, gets it. Right away it seems the women are going to have a tough time getting along. Especially after Omarosa tells her team she does not want to use their celebrity to win this challenge. Something tells me Omarosa is using this as her second chance...
Meanwhile, the men are getting along swimmingly. Gene immediately gets on his phone and begins calling his rich friends, telling them to come buy a hot dog for charity. Lucky for him, they show up in the nick of time, one buying a $10,000 hot dog. It didn't hurt when Jenna Jameson showed up. If anyone can sell a hot dog, it would be her.
The women aren't proving to be as successful. While they were off to a slow start, Marilu decided to take matters into her own hands. After making a few phone calls, Marilu makes the sale of the day selling two bottles of water for $5,000 a piece. Later, Jennie makes a call to one of the New York Mets who buys out the rest of the cart. It seems the teams are neck and neck. Or are they?
No, not really. The guys blew them out of the water selling almost $53,000 worth of hot dogs, or celebrity, which ever way you look at it. At least it's all going to charity. Being that Stephen was the winning team's Project Manager, the over $69,000 collected will go to his charity for Breast Cancer.
In the board room, Omarosa is already spouting off at the mouth, even insulting Stephen for no good reason. Wow, she is a bitch. After the arguing and bullshitting coming from Omarosa, she decides to bring in Tiffany and Carol. She brought Tiffany for being immature and Carol for picking a terrible location. This season also has a new twist: the winning team is allowed to watch the boardroom from upstairs. Since everyone is already convinced Tiffany is going home, one can only assume that she does. And she did, even though Trump really wanted to keep her (I wonder why...). I would like to end this recap with a wish: I wish Omarosa would get kicked off next week. I know she makes for great drama, but she drives me insane!
