I don't know what to say. I'm really at a loss for words. As we have learned, this season's twist is Beauties vs. Geeks, which, well, sucks. And as if things couldn't get worse, this season's beauties are in a world all their own. Let's discuss runway model Amber. She may think she is the second coming of Iman, however, I beg to differ. She is pretty, yes, but her personality seriously diminishes her outward appearance making her look more like a witch than a beauty. Later on, we will see why.
This week's competition is a talent show, again, beauties vs. geeks. It almost seems like a no brainer, right? The beauties should have this on lock. However, during what was supposed to be practice, the beauties decided to get drunk instead, while the geeks were busy prepairing for the performance of their lifetimes.
The beauties figure they can wing it, and just go on stage a shake their butts for votes. They came up with a whole Britney-school girl costume and free danced on stage, for way to long. It got to the point where some girls were actually doing the sprinkler. Yes, the sprinkler. The geeks are up, and let's just hope they don't make fools of themselves.
Jason, a.k.a "one buff geek" (and that is NO joke, the guy is RIPPED) and poet Matt (with the coke-bottle glasses) open the geek's show. Matt is reading poetry and Jason interrupts him by rapping. And really, he wasn't bad for a geek. Anyhow, it was immediately apparent the geeks won, and now they get to choose five girls to go into the elimination room.
Amber decides to take matters into her own hands, when she uses "sweater vest enthusiast" Tommy to secure her staying. When I say use, I really mean use, like she was making out with him (which, he didn't seem to happy about...). Other girls, like Tiffany and Leticia had their sites set on the rest of the geeks. They managed to get them into the hot tub, where they thoroughly convinced the geeks not to send them to elimination.
In the end, the guys do send Amber to elimination, and Tommy didn't fight it (wonder why?). And luckily for Tommy, and the rest of America, Amber wasn't smart enough and got sent home. So we are now down one geek and one beauty, and let's hope they pair them back up so the show actually has some meaning. How are they supposed to "transform" when they are learning nothing from eachother?
