"The Bachelorette": Season Finale: Season 4, Episode 8

 I Can't Believe She Picked The Guy With The Pink Shoelaces......

Can you believe that we are finally down to the final two?  After everything we have been through this season; Ron and his motivational speaking; Twilley and his stand up comedy; Graham showing America that he is a huge pussy when it comes to women and Sean finally getting a hair cut.  This truly has been the most dramatic season yet.... Hope you sense the sarcasm :)

Jason admits to the camera that he came on this journey to find true love.  Well I certainly hope he did, unlike some of the other guys looking for their 15 mins, if even that.  Jason knew instantly that DeAnna had the same passion of life that he did but didn't know if she would be able handle him having a son.

Jessie admits to the camera that he didn't expect to still be here.  He thought he was out of DeAnna's league.  It was important for Jesse to build a strong friendship with DeAnna first.  So when the carriage ride happened in Jesse's home time he was ready and excited for their first kiss.  He's scared to go home but doesn't have any regrets. 

First up, Jesse and Jason will be visiting DeAnna's father, sister and brother in her home town, outside Atlanta.  DeAnna knows her family isn't going to be easy on the guys after everything that happened with Brad.  After all, they are here to protect DeAnna.

Jason's visit is first.  He brings two bouquets of flowers, one for DeAnna and the other for her family. 

Dad starts to grill Jason, asking him tons of questions.  Jason explains how he has two brothers and how his wife decided to leave him for another man, which is why he is raising his son alone. 

Sister decides to take Jason away for some one on one time.  Jason admits that he wouldn't be here if he wasn't in love with DeAnna. Sister asks if Jason can make her happy.  Jason says that he has never felt this strong before about someone.

DeAnna tells her brother she likes Jason because she knows they are on the same page.  He wants marriage and a family, plus he's a great father. 

Jason sits down to talk to DeAnna's dad.  He tells Mr. Pappas that he is in love with DeAnna and asks permission to purpose to her.  Dad is impressed because this is something Brad never did.  Dad gives Jason his blessing if DeAnna choices to pick him. 

Dad tells the camera he thinks Jason fits in their family and would be a great pick for DeAnna.  The family really likes Jason.

DeAnna is nervous for her family to meet Jesse because he is so different from anyone she has ever dated.  Jesse shows up with freshly cut hair.  DeAnna's family can tell he is nervous.

Dad asks Jesse about snowboarding and how much longer he is going to compete.  I wonder if dad ever smiles.....He always seems so serious.

Dad then asks Jesse if he is ready for a commitment.  He threatens Jesse that if he is picked and doesn't allow DeAnna to make frequent visits they have a 300 nephew who can convince him otherwise......

As Jesse leaves her family admits that they didn't really get a chance to learn who Jesse is.  DeAnna tells her family she likes Jesse because he doesn't fit the mold.  She thinks her family might not be feeling the same connection with Jesse because he is different. 

Dad tells DeAnna he felt Jason was more sincere in loving DeAnna and also Jesse didn't ask permission to marry DeAnna.

The next day Jason and Jesse are going to be meeting the rest of DeAnna's family, including her grandparents. 

Jesse arrives first.  As Jesse sits down with the family the doorbell rings. It's Jason.  The guys had no idea that they would be visiting DeAnna's family together.  Jesse feels that it is a competition now.  Jason doesn't want to share DeAnna but puts his best game face on.

Dad asks what the pros and cons are of this whole experience.  Jesse admits that it's been hard but DeAnna is worth it. 

Jason sits down with DeAnna's grandparents.  He wants to know the secret to their happy marriage.  Grandpa explains that you must always agree with everything your wife says.  DeAnna's grandparents seem so sweet!

Grandma tells Jason that she feels he's the right one for DeAnna.

Jesse sits down with DeAnna's sister and sister in law.  He admits to having cried twice this week because of the way he feels about DeAnna.

Next, Jesse sits down with DeAnna's dad to tell him how much he loves his daughter.  Jesse asks for his blessing.  Dad asks if Jesse is ready for marriage and offers his blessing on one condition, Jesse has to remember to keep his hair short... Geez I wonder what the family would have done if they met Sean with his long hair :)

Grandma asks for kisses before Jason and Jesse leave.  Jesse lets Jason leave first so he can have the last goodbye with DeAnna.

DeAnna is at a loss for who she is going to pick. 

DeAnna, Jason and Jesse all head back to Grand Bahama Island for their final dates together.  However there is one surprise.  Jeremy is still there and wants to talk to DeAnna.  Jeremy tells DeAnna that he thinks she is making a mistake with him and tells DeAnna how his feelings are real.  DeAnna doesn't know what to say except that it just isn't in her heart.  She has respect for Jeremy so she doesn't want to lead him on.  They say goodbye.

I think Jeremy will be just fine.  If he can have the courage to confront DeAnna like this again then he has the confidence to get through this tough time.  But then again maybe the producers made him do this.  Who knows....reality my ass.......

DeAnna's next date is with Jesse.  The two are taking an airplane ride to a private island.  The two wade through the water, holding hands.

At night, Jesse gives DeAnna what he calls "a book of thoughts."  Its pictures of their time together and how Jesse feels.  Jesse tells DeAnna that he is ready to spend the rest of his life with her. 

Next up is Jason's date.  They are going deep sea diving with sharks. However the catch is they will not be in a cage.  Remember when Elizabeth Taylor went swimming with the sharks??? At least she had a cage. 

At night Jason gives DeAnna a board game that he made himself.  It's based on all of their dates, including their first kiss.

The next day Jason goes looking for engagement rings.  The ring he picks out isn't that great.....

Jesse also goes shopping for a ring.  However the ring Jesse picks is beautiful!  If only I could be that lucky when I finally find my future husband.  Are you out there???? I'm beginning to have my doubts....

At the last rose ceremony, DeAnna admits to the cameras that she is 100% happy with her decision.

Jason shows up first.  He has on an orange tie to go with the theme of a Georgia Peach.  Jason starts to get down on his knee but DeAnna tells him she can't because she is in love with someone else.  They hug and DeAnna walks him out.

As Jason drives away he is shocked.  He was so ready to fall in love again.  He now knows the only sure thing in his life his is son Ty.

Jesse shows up and tells DeAnna that she is his soul mate.  He asks to spend forever with her.  DeAnna says yes and finally tells Jesse that she loves him.  She can't believe that she is marrying the guy with the pink shoelaces.

OK, so here is my theory on why she didn't pick Jason.  I think she just wasn't ready to settle down with a family.  DeAnna wants to do things her way.  I honestly don't blame her at all.  It is a huge undertaking.  A man with a child would have to be pretty freaking amazing for me to marry.  I just don't know how I feel about her picking Jesse though.  Jesse seems like an amazing guy but for DeAnna? Oh well, time will tell.  Maybe there will finally be another Bachelorette marriage.
