It's Time To Air The Dirty Laundry
OK. So seriously, what is up with CBS moving "Swingtown" to Friday nights? Did they plan an experiment to watch the show slowly die as the ratings continue to drop because everyone is too busy on Friday to watch TV? I mean, the show hasn't even been picked up for the fall season so odds are the show is canceled anyways. All I have to say is Roger and Susan better get it on before CBS decides to take this show off the air.
We start this week's episode with Susan lounging in the Decker's pool. Tom comes over to offer his assistance with reapplying Susan's suntan lotion. After all, she does have fair skin and someone has to be on the look out for those freckles. Trina decides to offer her services on the other side. Then Roger shows up asking if he can take over for the both of them. He leans in to kiss Susan. Of course by now I hope you have realized that this is a dream because suddenly Janet and Bruce show up and seem disgusted by what they see.
Susan wakes up to find Bruce trying to sneak out early for "work." Is it wrong of me to assume he is sneaking off to go have a quickie with Melanie; even though they never confirmed last week if the two did the nasty?
Trina and Tom are getting ready for their annual puzzlerama block party. It's their yearly tradition which usually leads to someone airing out their dirty laundry and I'm not talking boxers or briefs.
Janet brings the want adds over to Roger and points out all the jobs she circled that Roger is qualified for. The problem is Roger just isn't interested. He doesn't want to be stuck in a bad job again.
While doing laundry, Janet comes across the shorts that Roger borrowed from Tom at the Decker's pool party.......Remember; Janet doesn't know anything about Roger being there. Janet thinks they are Bruce's from the camping trip so she heads over to the Miller's house.
Janet invites Susan to play bridge but she can't because Susan is going to the Miller's puzzlerama party. Susan invites Janet to come too. Considering how much Janet likes to compete she agrees to go.
Samantha rides her bike over to welcome B.J back from camp. I didn't miss these two characters at all last week when B.J was supposed to be away at camp. Laurie is a little boring too, considering the most exciting thing going on in her life is the struggle to do her teacher.
The Miller's sit down to dinner and Susan notices that Bruce is wearing cologne again. Laurie tells them that she is volunteering on the Carter presidential campaign. Bruce is not happy about her supporting Carter.
Tom and Trina show up to set up for the puzzlerama party. Trina asks them to step outside so she can hide one of the puzzle pieces in the Miller's house. After careful thought, Trina decides to hide the puzzle piece in Susan's jewelry box. While attempting to do this Trina comes across Tom's shorts in Susan's drawer that Roger was wearing at the pool party. She smiles to herself thinking that something is going on between Susan and Roger.
At the party, Susan shows up with Tom's shorts. Trina asks her if anything happened between Susan and Roger. Susan is offended that Trina would even think that. She's a married woman. Susan tells Trina that Janet can't know that Roger was at this party. So now you know this is probably going to be one of the dirty pieces of laundry that gets aired out......
Bruce's co-worker Mareno shows up with Melinda at the party. Apparently, the Miller's neighbor Gail has a thing for Mareno and planned to have him bring a date to the party so it wouldn't look suspicious to her husband when she jumps Mareno's bones later.
Trina explains the rules of puzzlerama. Every clue is about one of the participants. The more secrets you know about everyone the easier to will be to find the clues.
Tom and Janet are teamed up along with Roger and Susan being together and Bruce with Melinda. Gotta just LOVE how that worked out.
Laurie is outside a grocery store with Doug trying to get people to vote for Carter. She bets Doug that she can get more signatures than he can. Who ever wins the bet gets final say in what they are doing tonight. Sounds like a win win to me considering these two haven't done it yet.
Janet and Tom show up at the grocery store and find their first puzzle piece. Roger and Susan also find their's at Gail's house. Gail then shows up with Mareno. The only thing Gail is interested in winning is Mareno in bed.
Melinda confesses to Bruce that she knew he would be at this party. She grabs Bruce and kisses him. The two end up making out against the wall outside a magazine stand.
Tom sees Bruce and Melinda kissing and quickly moves Janet away before she has a chance to see for herself.
Tom confronts Bruce back at the party about what he saw.
Susan and Roger show up at the grocery store surprised to see Laurie outside. Laurie introduces Doug as Mr. Stephens, her teacher. Susan looks a little suspicious when she finds out that Laurie and Doug volunteering isn't a school function.
Bruce tells Melinda that they need to cool things off. We find out that the two of them never did sleep together. Wonder if Bruce would have called it quits if Tom hadn't seen them together.
There is one finally question left. Janet figures out the puzzle and runs into the Decker's bedroom to find the finally piece. What she ends up finding is pictures of her husband in a bathing suit.
Janet is livid, thinking that Trina has a thing for her husband. Susan comes to Trina's defense explaining that she was their two. Janet is hurt that Susan is in on it too.
Laurie wins the competition and decides that the two of them will be going back to Doug's for the evening. The two start to make out and move it towards the bed.
Janet is mad to find out that Roger confided in Susan regarding his job before talking to her. Roger explains that Janet isn't always the easiest person to talk to.
Susan apologizes to Bruce for not telling him about her day with Roger. She tells him the last thing she wants to do is keep secrets from him. Bruce agrees. Coward.......
