Swingtown: Take It To The Limit: Episode 13

The 6 some that never happenedThe 6 some that never happened

I'm sad to say kids but this very may well may be the last episode of "Swingtown" ever.  Let's hope that all of our questions are answered in this season's finale.

Trina and Tom are getting ready for their end of the summer clam bake at the beach.  Tom decides to take a break from the lobsters and clams to get frisky with Trina but for the first time she isn't interested.  Geez pregnancy sure is changing her.

Susan, trying to distract herself from her sorry excuse of a husband is sorting through their winter clothes.  When Bruce asks if she can give him a ride to the train station for work Susan throws the keys at him and tells him not to forget his suitcase. She knows something is up between him and Melinda.  Roger of course being the coward that he is leaves without saying anything.

Janet is on the phone with Henry from work talking about the Dear Trudy letters.  Seems Janet doesn't agree with the advice Trudy has been giving out lately.  Roger finally breaks down and tells Janet he was offered the job and how it is in Cincinnati.

Bruce is at the bar when Melinda shows up, which leads us to finding out that the two of them only "talked" the other night.  Is that what the kids are calling it these days???? Melinda suggests that the next time they get together they need to be doing something more than "talk."

At work, Henry tells Janet that the Life + Style Editor is waiting for her.  Henry gave the editor some of Janet's writing samples.  Janet gets offered the column but turns it down.  Wonder if Janet still would have turned the job down if she knew her husband was in love with Susan?

Laurie is trying to pick out her senior year schedule. Doug is excited for the first time in his life to not have any obligations.  He likes knowing that is future is uncertain.  Suddenly there is a knock at the door.  It's his neighbor Liz with news of an earthquake in Guatemala.  Doug's old roommate is currently there working in the Peace Corps.  Liz tells him that no one has heard from Dave since the earthquake.

Susan is helping Trina and Tom get ready for the clam bake.  Susan tells Trina all about her agreement not to take to Roger anymore and how she thinks Bruce is having an affair with Melinda.

B.J and Rick are hanging out with Samantha and Liz before they move away.  Going through all of Samantha's old stuff they find a magic eight ball. Rick of course asks if Liz is finally going to give it up to him.  Samantha's mom, Gail comes out and freaks out when she realizes that her sister is taking her away to "fix" her problems.

Susan decides to go to the bar in search of Bruce but ends up finding Melinda.  The two sit down and Susan confronts Melinda.  Melinda explains that Bruce and she are a lot alike but they haven't slept together.  She talks about the connection that Bruce and she feels and ask if Susan feels a connection with Bruce lately.  Susan gets up and leaves.

Gail's sister throws out all of her alcohol and drugs. B.J and Samantha overhear their entire argument.

Roger see's Susan at the train station.  He tells her that he is waiting for Janet because he heard that she left work early. However, their is still no sign of her.  Susan asks if they will be making it to the Decker's clam bake. Roger is flying out to look at houses so he doesn't know.

Frustrated about the move, Janet decides to visit Trina.  Janet was walking past a book store and saw the Dr. Spock parenting book and just knew she had to get if for Trina.  You know Janet, always thinking of others. I've really became to appreciate the relationship that has grown between these two woman.

Janet tells Trina about Roger and the job in Ohio.  Trina thinks that she needs to tell Roger she doesn't want to go. Janet explains that she needs to standby him, for better for worse.  Trina reminds her that this is the 70's and Janet has a say in it too.

Laurie and Doug are trying to find out more regarding the earthquake in Guatemala but none of the news channels are reporting the story.

Bruce comes home from work and kisses Susan on the forehead.  She brushes it off.

Roger calls Susan looking for Janet but quickly hangs up when Janet returns home.  Janet tells Roger that she doesn't want to move. That it isn't the right thing for their family.  Roger tells her it isn't her decision to make its his.  Janet tries to defend that it is their decision to make but Bruce concludes the argument telling her he's the head and if he says they are moving they are. End of discussion. Geez when did Roger grow a set of balls?????

At the beach, the clam bake is underway.  Of course to shake it up Tom and Trina have decided to make it a swinger's party.  So drop your car keys in the fish bowl.

Doug finds out that his friend is OK but still decides that he wants to go to Guatemala to help.  Laurie wants to go too but Doug isn't excited about the idea of her missing school.  Finally Doug breaks down and tells her she can go if she talks to her parents.  Doug tells her he loves her. Geez I never saw the two of them staying together......

Susan tells Trina about her little talk with Melinda.  Susan also guesses that Trina is pregnant.  Trina finally talks about the baby and how she isn't sure if she is going to keep it.  Tom and her never planned on having children.  Susan thinks that Tom should at least have a say in it, considering Janet still hasn't told him about the pregnancy.

Janet and Roger show up to the party.  Janet tells Susan if Roger chooses to move she doesn't know if she'll be going with him. Just on cue Roger tells Janet they need to get to the airport for his flight.

B.J and Samantha say goodbye.  She gives him her dad's necklace; the only she has of her dad left.

It's fish bowl time.  Susan being mad at Bruce runs away.  Bruce follows her.  Susan confronts Bruce about lying to her and being with Melinda.  Bruce blames Susan, saying she opened the door to begin with.  And this is reason 501 that I hate Bruce.....It takes two to tango baby..... Susan in a huff leaves and picks out of set of keys from the fish bowl.  You go girl!

Henry shows up at Janet's house with champagne.  Against Janet's better judgment he told the editor that she would accept the position.  They are going to publishing her column in tomorrow's paper.  Janet invites Henry to stay and enjoy the champagne with her; however Henry has a date with Mark from shipping. Oh snap!  Janet looks a little shocked but wishes Henry her best.

Trina confesses to Tom that she took his keys out of the fish bowl.  She decides to also make another confession and tell him that she's pregnant.  Tom asks what she wants to do and they decide to think about it together.  Where the hell are all the guys like Tom Decker?  Sure he likes to swing but what an amazing partner in marriage.....

Laurie is all packed and ready go to.  She actually has the nerve to only tell her mom she's going over to Doug's.

Susan's phone rings.  It's Roger.  He never made it on the plane and is at a hotel by the airport.  He invites Susan to come meet him. there.

B.J and Samantha decide to test out the CB radio but it suddenly stops working....B.J sees Samantha's mom doing drugs next door. I don't think Samantha will be coming home anytime soon.....

Laurie arrives at Doug's to find out that he has already left for Guatemala.  But don't worry, he left her a letter!  In the letter, Doug explains he didn't want Lsutir to miss out on her last year to be a kid.  He even leaves her keys to his apartment because Laurie already has the key to his heart.  Excuse me while I barf....

Janet clips out her first column to put in her scrapbook.  We watch her drink champagne alone.

Tom falls asleep while Trina reads Dr. Spock's book.

Bruce shows up at the bar to find Melinda.  The two kiss.

Susan shows up at Roger's room and walks in.......Do they are don't they.  We may never know.
