Considering it has been over a year since the season four finale of Entourage, a brief recap is in order. We left the boys at Cannes, where they were promoting their movie "Medellin." Unfortunately for Eric and Vince, their producing debut was a bust, selling the movie for only $1. Meanwhile, Johnny was busy with his new french girlfriend...on the beach, for a whopping three hours.
Now that were caught up, where did the boys find themselves following their straight to DVD release? Well, Vince and Turtle drowned their sorrows in a bottle of tequila and a slew of women. Vince doesn't seem too upset that his career has been flushed down the toilet. While Vinnie and Turtle are living the high life, Eric and Ari are busy trying to save their golden boy's career.
While the rest of the crew is dealing with the "Medellin" fallout, Drama is happily in love with the french girl from Cannes. Too bad they have to love from a distance, thank god for webcams.
After watching Richard Roeper rip "Medellin" a new one, Ari insists his staff does not, I repeat, DOES NOT mention Roeper's comments. In true Ari Gold fashion, he threatens to fire anyone who mentions it, then threatens to fire Lloyd if he doesn't answer the phone ringing annoyingly in the background. The call is from another director who wants to meet with Vince immediately to discuss a new project, "Danger Beach." (It's a working title...) The only thing is, Vince is not exactly easy to get a hold of these days.
Meanwhile, E is busy running his management company. That consists of, well, Vince and one other struggling actor, played by Bow Wow. Ari insists E drop everything to get Vince back for the interview. Remember, its been six months since the fall of Vince, people aren't sure what his deal is. After finally getting a hold of Vince, E informs him of "Danger Beach," again, a working title. Vince refuses to leave the brothel of beautiful women.
Ari seems to think going to Vince will bring him home. His cheap ass is even springing for the plane. He and Eric are on their way to Mexico to bring their money maker home. In the meantime, Drama is busy fighting with the crew of his show about shooting him from the wrong angle. The chairman of the network has even taken time out of his busy schedule to "talk" to Johnny about his behavior. Luckily for Johnny, E tells him they have to get Vince and Drama jumps at the chance, telling the chairmen to shoot him from whatever angle he wants.
While partying south of the border, Turtle and Vince get a nice surprise from the crew. Ari, Eric and Johnny have come to bring Vince home no matter what. E explains to Vinnie that he cannot let people remember them by "Medellin," Vince agrees and they head back to Hollywood.
During the meeting, E and Turtle sit in the car, watching porn to the disgust of anyone walking past. Unfortunately, the director tells Vince Emile Hirsch is slated to star in the movie, and he was being used as an insurance policy to ensure Emile would star. Johnny and Turtle are ready to go beat some ass, but Vince is surprisingly positive. Drama insures his little bro that if he can make it back, most definitely Vinnie can make it back. Just in case, Drama and Turtle go and destroy the director's very expensive car.
