90210: Wide Awake and Dreaming (Episode 5)

Last week, Brenda took over the play as director. Dixon got a job at the Peach Pit and Naomi's parents finally split up.

 Ty and Annie are practicing a kissing scene for the play while Brenda observes. Silver is supposed to be watching too, but is instead updating her blog site.  Brenda explains she's stage manager and it's her job to make sure the lights are cued at the right time and that everyone else is doing their job correctly behind the scenes.  Brenda tells everyone to take a break for dinner and says how great they're all doing.  She also thanks Annie for stepping in for the lead with Adrianna gone so much. 

Silver goes to Jared, the light guy, and tells him he's got to do his job. He gets mad and quits. She's stressing because it's dress rehearsal night. Dixon comes in and says he can do it because he used to do all of Annie's plays in Kansas.  

Naomi goes into her mom's room after school and finds her still in bed.  She tells her to get out of bed because she's been there for 9 hours since she left for school.  Naomi suggests they go out and get groceries.  Tracy tells her to have Penelope go out and get them or to order take out.  Naomi tells her mom she's going to call her dad so he can come home and fix it.

Kelly, Ryan, and Harry discuss the play as they enter backstage.  They see Annie and Ty making out.  Harry yells to Annie who stops kissing Ty and runs out.

Harry and Debbie are at home talking about Annie's make out session.  He's freaking out and Debbie tries to calm him down.  Tabitha walks in and says he's overreacting. He says he wants to talk to Annie about it. Debbie says she should because it's more of a mother/daughter talk.

Naomi and her dad walk into her mom's room expecting to see her still in bed. Naomi is surprised to see her mom completely dressed and ready to go out.  She tells Naomi to call and make dinner reservations. Naomi is happy and says her dad must have motivated her to get out of bed.  She leaves and her dad asks Tracy what's going on.  She tells him he's the one who left for his whore at the beach house.  He says he knows she's hurting and she slaps him.  She goes to slap him again, but he grabs her arm and pulls her toward him on to the bed.

Annie comes home and her and her mom discuss the kiss with Ty.  Annie explains that she really likes him and that it's not just because of the play.  Debbie tries to have the sex talk with her.  She explains that she should be aware of all consequences emotional and physical before she has sex.

The next day, Adrianna shows up late to the play.  She tells Brenda it's not a big deal because it's only a high school play.  She goes on about how she's got to much going on at home and at school.  She is flipping out telling her how she tried out for a commercial and that she won't get it because she's probably too fat or too brunette.  Brenda tells her she's doing a great job with the play and to get up there and practice.

Annie and Silver are at lunch discussing Ty when Naomi walks up and asks if she's "bagging" Ty.  Annie says no one is "bagging" anyone.  Naomi tells her it's bound to happen sooner or later with a guy like Ty.  Ethan walks up and says he and Naomi will see Annie at the play.  

Kell, Brenda, and Ryan discuss Adrianna and how she seems distant and distracted.  Brenda says she's doing an excellent job with the play and wants her to keep doing it.  Kelly and Ryan think she needs to quit, but Brenda tells them no that she's got it handled.

Annie tells Ty she's nervous about tonight.  He asks if she's going to the after-party. She tells him yes and that she's really excited about it.  He tells her he booked a room if she wants to join him.  She says of course why wouldn't she.  HE tells her it's gonna be a great night.

Debbie and Harry discuss the after-party at the Roosevelt Hotel.  Harry doesn't want Annie to go because it's at a hotel with beds and horny high school guys.  Debbie tells him they can't stop her from going, they can only lead her in a good path and hope she follows it.

Brenda and Adreanna are practicing at the school.  Her mom shows up asking where she's been.  She tells Adranna she has 3 scouts coming to the play so she better be ready.  Adrianna is not happy.  Her mom wants her to do well tonight so she can get more acting jobs.  

Harry drops Annie off at eh play and wants to talk to her about Ty and their relationship.  He asks if they can all go out to dinner after the play.  She tells him she has the parys after and that he doesn't want her to go because he doesn't trust her.  

Silver tells Brenda she can't find Adrianna. They find her lying down backstage and appears to be drunk or on drugs.  She's giggly and not acting right.  She tells them she's fine and feeling good.  Brenda tells her she's not going on and that Annie is.  Adrianna is pisses and Annie looks freaked out. She's panicking backstage with Silver when Ty walks up and starts calming her down before they go out on stage.

Annie does awesome as the lead, but everyone in the audience is wondering why Adrianna isn't there. Kelly goes to check and finds her backstage with her mom.  She's mad that Adrianna isn't out there.  Kelly informs her that Brenda thinks she is doing drugs and could not let her go out there like that. Her mom argues with Kelly, but then they leave.

Tracy is at home clearing out her husband's closet.  Naomi walks in and asks what she's doing, she thought they were getting back together.  Her mom tells her no because he's living at the beach house.  Tracy says she told him to make a choice and he couldn't decide so she made the decision for him.  She tells Naomi she wants to respect herself and Naomi to respect her too.

After the play, Ty says he'll see her at the hotel. She goes to tell her family good-bye and runs into Dixon.  She asks him for the condom in his wallet.  He's surprised and asks about Ethan.  She tells him they're going to happen.  She says she likes Ty, really likes Ty.  He gives it to her, but tells her that it's awkward so they should never speak of it again. Annie walks away and runs into Ethan who announces he has flowers for her.  She drops the condom and he drops the flowers.  He bends down and picks up the condom.  Ethan tells her she can't have sex with Ty.  She tells him he doesn't know what he's talking about because he cheated on Naomi and shouldn't worry about what she's doing.  he tells her maybe she should wait for someone tat truly cares about her.  She tells him she tried that and it didn't work.

Kelly and Brenda discuss Adrianna and her mom.  Brenda tells her she doesn't know how she deals with being a guidance counselor with all that the kids are going through these days.

At the party, Ty is waiting for Annie at the hotel room when Adrianna knocks on his door.  She starts coming on to him and he tells her he's waiting on Annie.  She tells him she left the play with Ethan and doesn't think she's going to meet him.

Silver and Dixon talk about the play.  Dixon rambles on about how good she did and she kisses him to shut him up.  They go to find a quiet spot.

Annies goes to Ty's room and finds Adrianna in a towel with the shower going in the bathroom.  Annis is confused and says she must have the wrong room.  Adrianna tells her no and invites her in. She asks Annie if Ty invited her to his room too and that she can go let him know his next appointment is there.  Annie gets upset and leaves.  She tells Adrianna not to tell Ty anything.  Adrianna goes into the bathroom and shuts off the empty shower. (wow, what a bitch) Ethan runs into Annie as she's leaving.  She's crying and he asks if Ty did something to her.  She says no that's not the problem.  Naomi walks up and Annie goes off about how she was going to have sex for the first time with a guy she barely knows.  She tells them it may be fine for them and their friends, but it's not ok for her and she leaves.

Dixon and Silver are making out. Dixon stops them and tells her he doesn't have a condom because he gave it to his sister.    Silver tells him she wants to go slow. They continue kissing.

Annie gets home and her parents are surprised to see her.  They tell her what a great job she did and how proud they are of her.  She explains she's tired and just wants to go to bed.  She goes to her room, shuts the door, and crumbles to the floor crying.
