Dancing with the Stars: The Results (Episode 705)

Jumping ship this week was Kim Kardashian.  Losing the final safety spot to partner Mark's father, Corky, and his partner Cloris Leachman, Kim departed gracefully, saying she's pleased to have made her father proud.  Then she locked and popped in a mini-rendition of her Sir Mixalot routine, as only Kim could do.

Toni Braxton didn't have to wait until the bitter end again to find out she and her partner Alec were safe another week.  Also surprised to hear their names called were Rocco DiSpirito and his partner Karina.  Shocked to make it past elimination, Rocco sweetly thanked those who voted for believing in him and promised to give twice the performance next week.  I'm gonna have to dust off the old phone and vote for Rocco come Monday--he's too stinkin' cute not to!

Also safe were the siblings Hough--Julianne and Derek--and their respective partners, Cody Linley and Brooke Burke.  Following suit (ugh), Susan Lucci and Tony were the next couple in the clear.  Good for Tony, I'm a fan, but Susan needs to up her game this week to gain some street cred in my book!

After reprising their "Matrix"-inspired paso doble for the judges' choice performance, Warren Sapp and partner Kym had to sweat it out a couple rounds before learning of their safety.  But really, I don't think in DWTS history there's ever been a couple eliminated on the very same show where they performed the encore dance.

Lance Bass and Lacey were relieved to be safe next.  After delivering another modern dance yesterday and getting some disappointing judges' comments, L&L were shakin' in their boots at the prospect of elimination.  But shoot, this is a N*Sync-er we're talking about.  He's good for a minimum of five more weeks.

Joining L&L were Misty Mae-Treanor and her partner Maks, leaving Corky and Mark Ballas in a father and son duel.  Age defeated beauty in this round as Corky and Cloris were announced safe and Mark and Kim learned of their departure.

Rounding out "The Results" show was a performance by Jessica Simpson, hocking her new single "Come on Over."  She sounded good (outside of the weird vocal decorations on parts of "Angels."  Where, oh where, is Robbie Williams when you need him?!).  She looked cute, too, though a tad fuller.  Let's start the Internet rumor here, folks.  Simpson-Romo baby in training?!

How do I get a body like

How do I get a body like Julianne Hough of Dancing With the Stars? What kind of work-outs should I do?

PR Diva's picture

Being thin sucks.....

Probably have to work out 3 hours a day, cardio and weight training and only eat chicken, fish, eggs, and veggies. They work hard for those bodies people!

I think Lance would have had

I think Lance would have had a better chance if he had a better partner. If Laci knows what the judges want, and continue to ignore it, just to do her own thing, Lance will get the boot. She is just not up to the standards of the other dancers, she is out of her league. And makes Lance look bad.
Susan definately needs to step it up, she has the same problem as Kim did. Stiff and inhibited on the dance floor. And did she have some crazy plastic surgery? WTF is wrong with her face and eyes now??
Warren is the best guy on the show. He can move it for a big guy, and seems to be having a lot of fun.
Misty-Mae looks like a man in drag. They need to tone down the makeup, and hair on her.

If anything, Lance is

If anything, Lance is bringing Lacey down. She's a champion Latin ballroom dancer, maybe not as naturally gifted as Julianne or Karina but on the same level as Cheryl, Kym and the others. There's a reason why she made top 4 on her season of SYTYCD. Lance is proving right what he said the first night that he was the worst dancer in N Sync. And I think he's just as much to blame for them trying so hard to be different as Lacey.

Agreed with everyone!

Agreed with everyone! Julianne is too fit for words (her Juicyfruit commercial--has anyone seen it?--makes me want to live in a gym). Susan def has a wonky Botox eye (thanks for backing me up, Judy!). And Lacey is obviously a great dancer but needs to listen up to the judges for Lance's sake.

Ok. It's early. But, who are the last three standing in DWTS this season, and why? Who is the runner up? Who wins? And, who is the biggest surprise cut?
