Entourage: Tree Trippers (Episode #59)

This show keeps getting better and better! In an effort to decide if Benji is really the movie for him, Vince and the boys are off for a trippy adventure.  Literally.

Poor Ari is busting his ass to get Vince the role in Smoke Jumpers, however, due to Vince's diva-like Aquaman 2 fiasco, Ari is getting no where. While Vince contemplates why he was such an ass, Ari, convincingly I may add, talks up Benji to be the next Babe.  At least Vince would be getting $3 million to play a veterinarian.  As Ari put it, Vince would be doing what most Americans do, take a job because they needed the money.  While Drama and E tell Vinnie they can take care of him for a while, Turtle notices his car getting repossessed.  Looks like Benji is in Vince's future...

Ari suggests a trip to the strip club to help Vince make a decision.  Drama suggests shrooming in the desert.  Obviously, the magic mushrooms won out and the boys are on their way to Joshua Tree National Park with a very unstable Eric Roberts (played by himself) and a suspicious Ari.  Luckily for Ari, his wife is out of town.  Unluckily for Ari, his dog needs to be taken care of.  Who else to call but Lloyd, who is trying to put his foot down with Ari.  As we all know, Lloyd lives to serve Ari, and therefore decides to move his game night to Ari's house.  Not a good idea.

As the boys arrive, Ari is freaking out about his phone not having any service.  While the rest give up their connections to the outside world, Ari chooses to hold on to his lifeline.  This would end up being a good call.  Anyway, bottoms up! The boys immediately eat their fungus and the fun really starts.

We all know Ari hates to lose control, therefore he has never eating mushrooms before.  While complaining he isn't feeling anything, Ari gets a call from his wife and is running around the desert like a mad man trying to get a good signal.  She informs him she and the kids are coming home tonight, and he freaks.  He has already eaten the shrooms, and is now climbing rocks to convince her not to come home.  As Ari is rock climbing, the rest of the guys are feeling the effects of the hallucinogenic drug.  Apparently, so is Ari who keeps repeating himself.  It will be night soon...It will be night soon...

After successfully convincing his son to stay put, Ari begins tripping.  Then, he realizes he is lost.  Now, he is really tripping out, as "it will be night soon..."  The crew is busy hallucinating floating scripts, and E refuses to speak.  Vince then realizes Ari is alone, and missing.  He convinces every one but Eric Roberts to come along for the adventure of looking for his agent.  Johnny, while peeing in the bushes, freaks because he thinks he pulled his cock off, but don't worry, he didn't.

Ari then calls Lloyd because he is freaking out, and Lloyd being the great assistant and friend, talks Ari through the trip.  Ari explains that he doesn't trust magic, and therefore, definitely not magic mushrooms.

By now the sun is setting and the boys are off to find Ari, and now Turtle's dog who Drama let get away.  Ari is now convinced something is coming for him and he now sees two eyes looking at him.  Lloyd (or Confucius) says to run.  Therefore, Ari runs.  While Ari is in total freak out mode, the boys are busy bonding.  Turtle freaks about E not talking and then says he wants to call his mom.  Drama pinches E and makes him scream.  Now realizing he can talk, E tells Turtle to call his mom in the morning.  Turtle agrees.

Finally, Ari hears Drama screaming for Arnold, Turtle's dog, even though Turtle thought it was his dog screaming back at them.  Ari finally meets up with the group and gives Vince a big hug saying he has never been so freaked out in his life.  Behind Ari comes Arnold, making Vince think Ari found Arnold, and Ari found Benji, and therefore it's a sign that he should do Benji.

On the way home, the guys are trying to figure out if they are still tripping.  Vince is convinced everything is now real.  Ari gets a reality check when his wife is calling him at 2 in the morning.  When she asks where he is, he says home, she says she is home too.  He then says he went for a run because he couldn't sleep.  She says, how could you sleep with a bunch of gay men screaming and swimming in the pool.  Ari can't figure out who is more dead, himself or Lloyd.

Driving back, Vince pulls through firefighters putting out a fire, and sees himself as one of the firefighters.  Realizing this is the sign he has been waiting for, he refuses to give up Smoke Jumpers.  Ari, get to work!
