After an iffy West Coast swing performance on Monday night, Toni Braxton found herself on the chopping block alongside Susan Lucci. Unfortunately, the daytime vet and her army of Erica Cain fans had the advantage, and Toni was left to her take her final dance. So upset by her elimination, Toni bowed out of the customary media blitz that follows each Tuesday "Results" show. Sorry 'bout cha, Jimmy Kimmel!
Joining Susan in next week's group hip hop dance will be Warren Sapp--the first to be announced safe from elimination. Warren and Kym's Monday night hustle was a huge success. Filled with some of the '70s most nostalgic moves, Kym did a great job of putting the spotlight on Warren and his happy, all-out approach.
Next, Cody Linley was able to breathe a sign of relief. This teenager is literally growing up on the dance floor and getting better and better each week! The jitterbug was a perfect match for his offbeat personality, and partner Julianne's choreography highlighted all of Cody's strong points. This duo was even asked to reprise their routine for the judges' choice dance. As long as Cody can stay focused and Julianne out of the hospital (never fear, it was only a severe stomach ache!)--these two are golden.
Cloris Leachman just keeps on truckin' along on the competition. Her departure is inevitable (just imagine a finals featuring Warren, Brooke and ... Cloris?!), but I suppose it's nice to see her settle into some real dancing. Partner Corky Ballas seems to be finding a few ways to pay homage to the technical side of the assigned dance while still showcasing Cloris' humor.
After a great rebound salsa performance Monday night, Maurice Greene and Cheryl were relived to be safe from elimination. Joining them were Brooke Burke and Derek, natural shoe-ins for the finals at this point. Lance Bass and Lacey were left to sweat it out a bit; I'm sure a lesson in humility for Lacey thanks to her Monday night 'me, me, me' performance.
And lastly, Susan and Tony will return for another week. After their uptown take on the hustle and getting slammed by the judges, Tony will hopefully take heed and remove the kids gloves he's been handling Susan with. Susan needs to inject some muscle into her performances! (I can't help but think she's holding back in an effort to not upset all her plastic surgery.)
In honor of hitting the mid-season mark, it's time to make some predictions. I see Susan going home next week, followed by Cloris, Lance and finally Maurice. Finals will feature Warren, Brooke and Cody. Would love to hear what anyone else thinks!

I pretty much agree on the elimination order and who will be in the finals. Although, I do think Cloris will be in the final 3. I've heard that the old people are voting for her continually and if anyone can vote in blocks it's the old people and crazy obsessed fans on American Idol. Out of Warren, Brooke, and Cody, I really hope Warren wins, I just love watching him.
