Luck thirteen...Interesting considering she is dying from Huntington's disease. However, if you consider getting some from a women she picked up at a bar lucky, then indeed she is. Then again, the women she slept with (whose name she didn't even know) ends up in convulsions on the floor. Not a good thing.
Thirteen brings her one night stand, Spencer as her name would turn out to be, to the ER of Princeton-Plainsboro, where House is extremely interested in the case. Well, not so much the case as the hot and steamy story behind it. House is convinced her seizure was caused by the ecstasy in her system (which Thirteen said she took five hours ago) and blows off Cameron who is convinced something is seriously wrong with her. Meanwhile, House and Wilson are getting their footing back as BFF. It was especially heartwarming when House removed a wheel from Wilson's chair, leaving him on the floor. Let the practical joke war begin.
Foremen is now really concerned with Thirteen's behavior. She is staying out late, doing drugs, and he feels she needs to deal with her impending death a little better. Easy for him to say. Kutner believes Spencer's illness is due to blood clots, however, Thirteen thinks she is just a hypochondriac. Especially when Spencer tells her she has been trying to get House to look at her case forever, and knew who Thirteen was when she slept with her. Feeling used, Thirteen is pissed to learn that House is making her draw bone marrow from Spencer. Of coarse House had to be in the room to make the moment even more awkward. As if questions about their passionate night weren't bad enough, House managed to get a ranking of seven out of ten of Thirteen's performance. Thirteen is not happy.
As if House weren't annoying Wilson enough, he has Lucas follow him. Wilson, no dummy, knows this and decides to put on a show for House. After following Wilson, House and Lucas notice a hot blond walking into Wilson's apartment. The next day at work, House asks Wilson what he has been up to, and Wilson tells House he is dating a former prostitute. House actually believes him, thus throwing the prank war into high gear.
Since Thirteen's house is where the attack took place, House and Foremen break in (sort of) trying to find the cause of Spencer's seizure and heart problems. They find a spider whose venom can cause such reactions. After checking Spencer for spider bites, they realize that is not the cause. Foremen also finds something interesting inside Thirteen's apartment. Apparently, she has shorter to live then they originally thought. Foremen understands why she is self-destructing, however, urges her to help, not hurt, herself.
Things are getting worse for Spencer, who isn't responding to any treatment, probably because they don't know what's wrong with her. In one of her worse moments, Thirteen is no where to be found and House is pissed. Pissed enough to fire her, which he does. Thirteen was found the following morning by Cuddy giving herself an IV for a big time hangover.
During one of her test, Spencer stops breathing and Thirteen, there for support, stabs her in the chest helping her to breath again. House insist she is still not getting re-hired, even after the rest of the team lobbied for her. Thirteen ends up getting close to Spencer, because she thinks she is dying too. After getting the consent to do a bone marrow transplant, Thirteen talks to House and gets her job back. Not before House gave her an earful about her lashing out and killing herself. House then notices Thirteen's lips are cracked. He asks if Spencer cried when Thirteen told her she was going to die. Thirteen says no, and House has his diagnosis. Turns out Spencer isn't dying, and Thirteen returns to her downward spiral by having another one night stand.
Meanwhile, House follows Wilson to a baby store, where Wilson is meeting Cuddy. House enters the store, confused as to what is going on. Cuddy tells him she is adopting a baby, and House responds by saying, "If your happy, I am happy..." and walks out.
