90210: There's No Place Like Homecoming (Episode 8)

After waiting two weeks I was anxious to find out what happened to Adrianna with her apparent drug overdose and Naomi's threat with jail time.

Annie has Dixon quizzing her for her driver permit test. She knows all the answers and can't wait to take the test later. Her dad hints that she should starting looking for a job.  They all start discussing the homecoming dance over breakfast. Dixon says he's going to ask Silver and has the perfect evening planned for her. Annie informs them that she doesn't have a date.

At school, Dixon asks Silver if she wants to go to homecoming with him. She laughs and asks if he's kidding. He pretends it's no big deal and she tells him it's just really not her thing.  She also informs him she's getting her wisdom teeth pulled after school. He offers to go with her.

Ryan sees Kimberly talking to a group of guys and he thinks they're up to something. The guys scatter as he approaches and Kim starts flirting with Ryan. He tells her she's crossing the line and walks away.

Ethan and Annie discuss the dance. Annie asks if he's going with Naomi. He tells no and asks if she's going.  She says she doesn't have a date. They very badly beat around the bush about how they both are going, but not together and that they will dance with each other.  What are we 12 now?!

Naomi and her mom are in Harry's office discussing how her punishment will be lessened because Adrianna admitted the drugs were hers. Naomi goes off about how Adrianna should have told them before and Harry cuts her off to tell them Adrianna overdosed. Naomi is shocked and upset. She ends up getting afternoon detention for the rest of the semester for flushing the drugs.

Adrianna and her mom arrive at a posh rehab center. She tells her mom she doesn't to be there and asks how they can afford it. Her mom tells her not to worry about it and that it's all been taken care.  I thought they were broke?

Annie tells Naomi she doesn't have a date for homecoming and Naomi invites her to get ready with a group of girls at her house and then go the dance with them. Annie hesitates but is finally talked into it by Naomi. 

Naomi shows up to detention and is huffy about it.  She nexts to a guy named Ozzie that is pushy and telling her about her "kind". They end up speaking Spanish? to each other. 

Annie drives her mom to the BMV to get her permit, but before they leave her mom tells her the importance of paying attention so she doesn't have an accident. She tells her where to find their State Farm Insurance card if she is ever in an accident.  I wonder what State Farm paid for all their ad time in this episode?

Adrianna is visited by Navid at rehab. He says he wants to write her side of the story for the paper, but she quickly refuses and grabs his phone. She texts Naomi asking her to come visit her.  When Naomi receives it she erases it.

Adrianna talks to a shrink and says it's her fault and she doesn't want to lose Naomi.  She's afraid Naomi will never speak to her again and says she doesn't want to live knowing that she did that to Naomi.

Dixon takes Silver home from getting her wisdom teeth pulled. She's loopy and seems out of it.  He helps her to the couch and tries to give her a pill for the pain, but she falls asleep.

Annie arrives home with her permit and her dad starts talking about the dangers of driving and how she should be careful. She tells him she already got that talk from her mom.  Annie and Debbie smile at each other and says she needs to go get ready for the dance.

Navid returns to visit Adrianna and brings her an entire bag of gifts for her.  Instead of saying thank you, she asks him to bring Naomi back with him so she can apologize to her.

Naomi, Annie, Nina, and another girl are at Naomi's getting ready for the dance. They seem to be having a lot of fun together.  Annie asks Naomi if it's weird that she and Ethan aren't going to homecoming together. She tells her no because they broke up and it's definitely over between them this time.  She tells Annie she justs wants him to be happy.  Tracy walks in to tell Naomi she has a male visitor which turns out to be Navid.

Silver wakes up in a lot of pain and Dixon tells her she was supposed to take her pill an hour ago.  She is not happy that he didn't wake her up for it.

Harry asks Debbie which tie he should wear to the dance.  She tells him to wear the one that matches her so that Tracy will know they're together.  Tabitha walks in and tells Debbie she needs to stick up for herself and take control of the situation.  She tells her that she's beautiful, smart, and strong and doesn't understand why she isn't more confident.  Debbie can't believe it and tells Tabitha it's the nicest thing she's ever said to her.  Tabitha tells her not to worry about it she will have forgotten what she said by morning.

Annie and Naomi arrive at the dance and vote for the homecoming queen.  Ozzie bumps into Naomi and tells her less is more and she blows him off and goes to get her and Annie drinks.  Annie calls to check on Dixon and Silver.  Silver tells her she's ok and that Dixon is sleeping. She tells Silver that Dixon must really like her because he wanted to go the dance, but is at home taking care of her.

Navid goes back to tell Adrianna what Naomi said.  I don't know why but they didn't really give us details on their conversations. 

Ethan arrives and asks Annie to dance.  Naomi spots them and doesn't seem very happy.  Ozzie walks up and persuades Naomi into dancing with him.  They actually seem to have a good time together and start speaking Spanish again, which Ozzie says is sexy.  She walks away from him when the song is over and asks Annie if they can talk.

Adrianna shows up and interrupts the conversation between Annie and Naomi. She asks Naomi if they can talk.  Naomi refuses and asks how she broke out of rehab.  She tells her she got night pass but Naomi doesn't believe her.  She tells her she can't be friends with her anymore because she keeps hurting herself and she can't watch it anymore.

Ryan spots Kim in the hall buying drugs from some guy.  He grabs it out of her hand and tells her to follow him.  In the meantime, Debbie finds Harry and Tracy walking down the hallway.  Tracy tells her they were discussing "their" son and walks away.  Debbie is angry and tells him it's got stop.  She says they should tell the kids before they find out from someone else.  Ryan walks up with Kim and says they need to talk.  Harry tells Debbie he's got to take care of it and she walks away still mad.  Ryan tells Harry he found her buying drugs.  Harry takes it and says he'll handle it.  Ryan goes off and tells him he wants to know what he's gonna do and proceeds to tell Harry he doesn't think he's doing a good job with the kids and is going to the board.  Kim cuts him off and tells him she's a cop.  He looks at both of them shocked.

Back at the dance everyone's dancing except Naomi and Annie.  Annie asks Naomi about Adrianna.  Naomi tells her Adrianna is too much drama and can't be friends with her anymore.  She asks Annie if she wants to be friend but tells her they can't be friends if she's with Ethan.  She tells her she can't watch them together and that friends are forever, but guys come and go.  Annie is pissed and asks if that's true then what about Adrianna.  Naomi tells her it's too difficult.

Debbie confronts Tracy and tells her that if she finds out she's kissing her husband again that they're gonna have "big problem".  Tracy tries to blow her off, but Debbie tells her the "big problem" will be her punching Tracy in the mouth so hard that it will knock all of her teeth out!  Yay for Debbie!

Adrianna leaves the dance and starts to get in the car with her drug dealer when Navid runs up and grabs her out.  The drug dealer punches Navid and takes off.  Navid tells her she's gotta get it together and that he misses their friendship.  She figures out by what he's saying that he paid for her expensive rehab.  Naomi shows up and they hug as Adrianna is bawling.  Naomi tells her she'll be there and take care of her.

Annie tries to tell Ethan she can't be with him because she likes Naomi and doesn't want to hurt her.  He asks if she likes him and when she says yes he kisses her.  Dixon and Silver are also kissing on the dance floor.

Ryan and Kim are talking in the parking lot about her keeping her position a secret.  He says he'll keep his mouth shut and tells her she can quit the sassy act now.  She tells him it isn't an act.  He asks how old she is and she tells him 25 and asks why.  He leans in and starts kissing her.

They show Naomi, Navid, and Adrianna walk toward the dance together.

I can't wait for next week.  Ethan and Annie are hooking up in the back room at a party thrown by Silver and Naomi is about to open the door to the room they're in.
