American IdolThe Huffington Post is reporting that a start date has been set for American's Idol 's eighth season. Idol will return on Jan. 13 and will also be adding a fourth judge, singer-songwriter Kara DioGuardi.
TV Guide reports that executive producer Shonda Rhimes' two shows, Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, will share a multi-episode crossover for February sweeps. Kate Walsh's "Addison" character will reportedly return to Seattle Grace for the arc.
Ain't It Cool News reports that Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller says that he will immediately report back to his former show Heroes if Pushing Daisies is the victim of cancellation. "I am exclusive to Daisies through the delivery of the 13th episode of our 13-episode order, which by then will be mid-January," says Fuller. "If Daisies isn't picked up by then, I will definitely be going back to play with my friends at Heroes.
E! reports that former 24 actress Reiko Aylesworth is joining the cast of Lost for a four-episode arc next season. All that is known about her character "Amy" is that she has a "love for the outdoors" and is a possible love interest for one of the male characters.
