Khandi AlexanderTV Guide reports that actress Khandi Alexander will reprise her role as medical examiner Alexx Woods on CSI: Miami in 2009. Alexander left the show last season, and is set to appear in a March episode. Alexander's character Woods exited the show when she found it difficult to balance family life with the rigors of the job.
PopEater reports that Marg Helgenberger of the original CSI has split with her husband of 19 years, Alan Rosenberg. Helgenberger plays forensic expert Catherine Willows on the CBS ratings monster. Rosenberg is the president of the Screen Actor's Guild. "After 19 years of marriage, Marg and Alan have decided to take some time apart," the actress's rep says. "They love and respect each other and remain committed to their family."
TV Guide reports that actor Gregory Smith, who played the lead role of Treat Williams' son on Everwood, is returning to television. Smith will appear on the 13th (and possiblly last) episode of Eli Stone. He will play a "boyfriend of a deceased college coed whose parents refuse to give up her heart for a transplant because the recipient does not share in their religious beliefs."
Yahoo! reports that Star Trek veteran and Boston Legal actor William Shatner's new talk show, William Shatner's Raw Nerve, premieres tomorrow night on the Bio Channel. Shatner says "raw nerve" can mean a lot. "There are many aspects to a raw nerve that don't have to do with negative emotions, like anger," he said. His first guests will be Valerie Bertinelli and Tim Allen.
