Desperate HousewivesTV Guide reports that Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry announced at the cake-cutting for DH's 100th episode that he is looking to extend the series for two more seasons past his original plan for seven. This would take the series into 2013. The deal, however, has not been finalized by ABC.
TV.com reports that Nielsen ratings for last Tuesday's episode of CBS' The Mentalist indicate that it was the most-watched show of the week. 18.7 million viewers watched and it is the first time a new series has become the most watched program for a week on television since Desperate Housewives in 2005.
MTV reports that ABC has greenlit an hour-long series adaption of the DC/Vertigo comic book series Fables. The comic book, about fairy tales characters living in secret exile in New York City, doesn't have an airdate as of yet. The pilot episode will be written by Six Degrees writers Stu Zicherman and Raven Metzne.
E! reports that Gossip Girl stars Taylor Momsen and Chace Crawford might have become a couple in real life. The two were reportedly recently seen kissing. Sources, however, say that their characters' romance on the show is over and Chace's character Nate will be with the Vanessa character played by Jessica Szohr.
