TV Guide reports that American Idol producer Ken Warwick has no plans to replace AI judge Paula Abdul despite her recent claims that the show endangered her life by allowing her alleged stalker audition in January of 2006. Paula Goodspeed committed suicide in front of Paula's home in November of this year. "There's never been any discussion that we would want to get rid of Paula — even if there were people in production that didn't like her. [Her job is] not in any jeopardy. America loves Paula. She's an integral part of this program, and as far as I'm concerned, I hope she's there 'til the day it comes off the air," Warwick said.
Reality show contest Todd Home, 23, was found dead in his Manhattan home over the weekend, according to TV Guide . Homme was a contestant on Lifetime's Blush: The Search for the Next Great Makeup Artist. "He went to sleep basically and never woke up," said Homme's mother Marianne Amster. "He was all excited about what was going on with the show. He was up all night, went to sleep during the day and he died in his sleep" The finale is scheduled to air on Tuesday.
TV.Com reports that Dec. 11's episode of CSI, which featured the debut of Laurence Fishburne as the new lead, got the highest ratings of the season so far. 20.6 million viewers turned in to see Fishburne introduced as criminology professor/research pathologist Ray Langston, who will eventually replace William Petersen's Gil Grissom character.
