TV News Update: 'Sex and the City' Werewolves?

WerewolvesWerewolvesFox has a dramedy project now in development called Bitches. It's by the writer of X-Men 2: X-Men United, Michael Doughtery, and it's a cross between Sex and the City and...a werewolf movie? Four career gals in New York City become werewolves at that time of the month. TV Guide reports that if the series gets greenlit, it will be executive produced by Pushing Daisies ' Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts.

TV Guide reports that former ER actress Maria Bello will star in as yet unamed HBO drama about a mother of three who turns to a life of crime after her husband is killed. It will be written by Gary Lennon, who worked on The Shield . Bello will also serve as executive producer.

HBO is replacing the hole left by the end of The Sopranos with several new series, according to TV.com . In addition to the above Maria Bello-starring crime drama, HBO has greenlit four new series. How to Make It in America is about "young hustlers living the American dream in New York." Bored stars Rushmore's Jason Schwartzman as "as an alcoholic author who starts to imitate the lives of classic pulp-fiction detectives. Producers Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer are developing Cocaine Cowboys, based upon the non-fiction book about the coke trade in Miami. And HBO also greenlit a comedy called Hung this week starring Thomas Jane as a man who learns to use his large endowment to his advantage.
