One Tree Hill: A Hand to Take Hold of the Scene (Episode 120)

The next morning after Brooke beat the shit out of X and sent him to jail, the cops wrap up the scene and Jack watches on from across the street. He is trying to avoid being taken to a foster home. Sam calls Jack and tells him not to do anything stupid.

Julian who is still playing Mr. Nice Guy to get in Brooke's pants brings coffee by for himself, Brooke and Sam. He asks Brooke to have a meeting tonight to discuss the clothing designs she has come up with for Luke's movie. She says yes to the date and Sam is there to make things awkward. She suggests Brooke wear something really sexy. Brooke tries to figure out how she's going to break this one to Peyton.

Meanwhile, Peyton is trying to figure out how to tell Brooke she's pregnant. She wants to be sensitive to Brooke given that she wants a baby herself. So, a short time later Peyton goes to Brooke's. She's barely in the door by the time Sam blurts out that Brooke is hot for Julian and he's hot for her and they're having a date. Seriously, is she seven years old or what? Brooke starts freaking out so Peyton blurts out that she's pregnant. Brooke starts crying. Peyton thinks it's because she's sad that she doesn't have her own baby and tries to comforting her but Brooke is really upset because she just finished Peyton's wedding dress. And, the dress has a really tight corset made into it. Peyton will definitely not be fitting into that anytime soon. Well, I'm sure sure could right this minute but that's not the plan. Anyway, Brooke grabs a box of all the B.Davis baby clothes she had made a long time ago and gives them to Peyton. Looks like she won't be needing clothes for the baby for a long, long time.

Nathan is back and of course Haley and Jamie are excited to see him. Jamie has a billion things to show him. Mouth and Milli are still fighting over him lusting for Gigi and her having a one night stand with Owen. Mouth already packed up Milli's stuff and tells her to hit the road. Milli goes to Brooke's to try to figure out a way to tell her about sleeping with Owen. When she gets there Brooke is blabbering to herself about whether Julian likes her or not and how horrible it would be to sleep with your friends ex. This sends Milli into tears and finally she breaks down and tells Brooke what she did. Brooke's first reaction is telling Milli to get out, so Milli heads for the door but then Brooke tells her to stop and they hug. Poor Milli!

Chase shows up at Mia's recording studio and asks her on a date. She shyly says yes. Chase is talking to her from the other side of the glass in the studio so he has to use the 'talk' mic button. He forgets he's still holding it when he brags to the other guy in the studio that she's into him. Mia and Haley laugh about that.

Peyton goes to the diner -- which I must say again has really become 'thee' hangout -- where she finds Julian and Sam. She gives Julian hell about dating her friend and how she'll break his face if he hurts her. Sam wastes no time telling Julian that Peyton is preggers, he congratulates her. He is definitely there to just get back with Peyton, you know he is. I'm just not buying his nice guy act.

Mia goes to Haley freaking out about what to wear on the date, what to talk about, whether she should pay or not, on and on. Haley is surprised Mia isn't used to the dating thing considering she's criss-crossed the country so much but Mia points out you can't exactly date on tour. Haley suggests they make it a double date so it's not so awkward. Mia loves this idea! Plus, it gives Haley and Nathan a night out.

Haley goes to Luke's and tells him Peyton told her about the pregnancy, Luke can't believe Peyton already told her, but when he admits it's true then Haley says she was just playing him so he'd tell her if it was true. She screams and tells Luke she's so excited he's going to be a daddy! That's not all she's there for though... she cons him into babysitting Andre and Jamie while she and Nathan do the double date with Mia and Chase. Luke doesn't have much chance to say no because the kids bust in the door and start running around the house. He and Peyton need the practice anyway.

Chase ends up having bartend so his date with Mia is a little odd. Mia shows up looking stunning in a black dress! I've met Kate Voegele who plays Mia and she is beautiful in real life too, and very nice. Haley is also looking equally stunning! I've always loved Bethany Joy Galeotti though. I just wish she'd come out with a CD! Mia has no problem with Chase working. He ends up only having to bartend for half the night and then they move onto having fun at Tric. Chase and Nathan shoot some hoops, Nathan helps Chase a little when the girls aren't looking to help bump up his score. Mia is very impressed he somehow beat Nathan. They move onto karaoke where Nathan and Chase are surprised to find out that they will be singing a song together thanks to Haley and Mia signing them up. They are hilarious! Their singing skills were lacking but the dance moves were great!

At the same time as Chase and Nathan doing karaoke that's what Andre and Jamie were doing too. They had already grown bored with playing cards and they didn't like the movies or old games that Luke and Peyton suggested. Andre and Jamie were also pretty entertaining doing karaoke. They were breakdancing and everything.

Julian comes to Brooke's for their meeting. She is wearing a tight dress and has put out some hard liquor for them to drink. Julian comes yapping on the cell phone, wearing casual clothes and a messenger bag. He asks if Brooke was heading out for the night, she makes up a story about having to do a charity event earlier in the day. Gee.. you think Julian hadn't planned this ahead of time? What a manipulative jerk. He did bring wine though which Brooke immediately knows means he is hoping to get her drunk to get in her pants, err, dress. So, she shows him her designs and he says that's what he had envisioned. The talk soon turns to their own life stories. Her bitch of a mother and his dad that he will never be able to make happy. When the night starts to come to a close it looks like they are going to keep things formal. Brooke asks Julian what this was all about, he tells her that it should just be what it is. But in the next breath he seems to want it to go further. He asks if that's where they have to leave, do they have to keep it strictly business? After this going back and forth a few times they finally kiss.

Luke and Peyton are exhausted by 9pm but the boys are still running around full of energy. Peyton tells Luke she'll play hide and seek with the boys while he runs to get ice cream because she is preggers and she has cravings. Cravings this early on? Really? Anyway, he goes and gets the ice cream and also a surprise for the boys. He gives them walkie-talkies. They love them and run off right away to play. Luke was smart enough to buy a third one so they can listen in on the them. 

Mia tells Haley that she really likes Chase, he's cute and funny. She tells Haley she can head home now if she wants... hint, hint. Haley and Nathan head home after that so that Mia and Chase can talk. They go pick up the boys but when they get there it's Jamie who answers the door. Luke and Peyton are sleeping on the couch. Jamie cutely tells them that they put them down a little while ago. He's hilarious! They end up taking the boys home without Luke and Peyton ever waking up.

Mia and Chase talk about what a great time this was and then have an awkward hug. It seems like they aren't sure whether to kiss or not but they decide not to. Mia is going to stick around and try to work at the recording studio so Chase goes to leave but then on the other side of the glass again he hits the 'talk' button and tells her he forgot to ask if she wants to go out again sometime. She tells him yes. He says he probably should've kissed her then and walks back in the room and they kiss. Yay!

After Milli's breakdown to Brooke earlier Brooke went and talked to Mouth and told him how horrible Milli felt and if he really loved her he shouldn't end things this soon. So, in the end, Milli goes to Mouth drunk and tells him that if he's just mad because she gave up her virginity to Owen that Mouth can have sex with her as many times as he wants. After she tells him this she has to run for the bathroom to vomit. Attractive! Later Mouth gives her some tylenol and water to help with the hangover. She apologizes to him and says maybe she would be better off in NYC. He doesn't disagree with her. WTF Mouth?!

At the end, Nate wakes up Luke by talking to him over the walkie-talkie. Apparently Luke bought some futuristic walkie-talkies that get reception over long distances. Luke can't believe he and Peyton went to sleep and then never woke up to hear them take the boys. Glad it wasn't another stalker! Nate tells Luke he heard he's going to be a dad and congratulates him. He says he knows he'll be a great dad and he's there for him all the way.
