Private Practice: Homeward Bound(Episode 212)

It seems Sheldon's problem is over.  He arrives at Violet's door with a hard on and lets her know he's ready.  They go in to her house kissing.

At the office, Cooper and Charlotte share an elevator.  She seems upset and tells him that "Big Daddy" is dying. Cooper thinks it's her boyfriend and makes fun of his name.  She tells him it's her dad and exits the elevator. Wow he must feel like an ass.

Naomi tells Addison that Sam has a girlfriend, Sonya.  She says she's ok with it, but I don't think so.

Their first case is Daron and his 2 kids Gracie and Julian.  He's a widow and they all three have Cystic Fibrosis.  They run tests on Gracie and Daron, who are both having problems.  Daron's test comes back fine, but Gracie's comes back with Burkholderia Cepacia.  It's some kind of resistant bacterial infection that is going to compromise her lung function.  They tell Daron that she has to be isolated immediately and that he can't touch her or even be near her. or he'll get it and die.  Daron explains to Gracie through a glass door that she has to go to the hospital.  After she leaves he asks Addison how he's supposed to choose between living with his son or dying with his daughter so she's not alone.  Addison asks if there's another family member that could be with Gracie.  He tells her that he has no other family except a sister in Nashville who really doesn't know Gracie.

While all of this another patient arrives, Cynthia.  She's a widowed woman who is recovering from a stroke.  She and her son, Seth, come in for the checkup and he's trying to convince her to move to Florida with him.  He doesn't want her to live alone anymore and is worried about her.  She insists that she is fine and doesn't want to leave.  They have her talk to Violet.  Cynthia tells Violet that there is good reason why she doesn't want to leave, but is afraid to tell Seth about it.  Cynthia confides to Violet what it is, but not to us.  Violet comes out and tells Sam that Cynthia is fine to be alone and that she's not depressed, but has a legitimate reason for staying and doesn't want to tell Seth.

Naomi talks to Sam about Sonya.  She says she doesn't think that he should have introduced their daughter, Maya, to Sonya.  She tells him it could be confusing for her if he introduces her to every woman in his life.  He doesn't agree.

Cooper tells Addison that Gracie does not like the hospital and is really upset about having to stay away from her father.  Charlotte asks Addison if she can do her rounds because she's leaving for Alabama.  She tells her that her dad is dying and she needs to be with him. Addison says she'll do it.  

Addison tells Cooper that she's covering Charlotte's rounds.  He asks her why she would do that for her.  She tells him that she's flying to Alabama to be with her dying dad.  

Wyatt walks up to Addison who is standing outside Gracie's room.  She briefly discusses the case with him and he tells her that he might have an idea.  He says they can take some of the fluid out of her lungs and test it to see if any antibiotic will work to get rid of the particular bacteria.  I'm just wondering but wouldn't that be common sense and not a new breakthrough cure??

Violet talks to Seth and Cynthia.  She tells Seth that Cynthia will be fine staying and that she can take precautions by checking in with Sam once a week.  Seth doesn't want to hear any of it and presses Cynthia to move in with him. She gets herself really worked up and faints.  She ends up at the hospital and is diagnosed with having a T.I.A.  They tell Seth she'll be fine and that it only happened because she was stressed.  Her friend comes in the room and asks if she's ok.  Seth tells her that she doesn't have a choice he is moving her no matter what.  Cynthia finally tells him that she is a lesbian with her best friend and that they have been together for years.  Seth can't handle it and leaves.

Addison and Kevin sit down to dinner that night.  She's being really quiet. He asks if she'd like to go out.  She tells him no because she's a little preoccupied.  He starts a fight saying that she doesn't ever want to do anything.  She fires back and says she's thinking about her C.F. patient and doesn't want to go out and pretend everything's fine.  She calms down and asks him what has happened to them.  She's not happy because they fight all the time. He says he doesn't know.

Naomi is helping Maya with her homework.  Maya asks why she's being so nice and giving her the answers.  Maya catches on quick and asks her mom what she wants to know about Sonya.  Naomi tries to play it off, but Maya tells her that Sonya is actually very nice and that she should go out and get a life.

Pete shows up at Violet's and they start making out.  Wow, 2 guys in the same day, she must be busy.

Gracie is crying and upset.  She wants her dad to be with her, and doesn't want him to be worried about her.

Cynthia is crying uncontrollably, her girlfriend tells her that she needs her son more and that she should move with him.  She tells Violet to call him and tell him that Cynthia will move in with him to get him back there.

Sheldon shows up at Violet's again to get it on.

Gracie goes in for surgery to get her lungs cleared.  Addison and Wyatt work on the trial.  He asks her if she wants to get some mac-n-cheese in the cafeteria.  She hesitates but ends up going.  Wyatt ends up telling her about his messy divorce over lunch.  He also asks her on real date.  She says she doesn't think it's such a good idea.  He asks if it's because of him or "the cop." She doesn't answer.

Naomi spies on Sam, Sonya, and Maya.  Addison walks up and tells her that she shouldn't be doing it, she should be out getting her own life.  Addison tells her that Wyatt asked her out.  Naomi tells her to be careful because she's in a relationship and needs to keep her legs together.

Cooper shows up in Alabama at Charlotte's dad's house.  She asks what he's doing there.  He says he's sorry and feels that he needs to be there with her. They go upstairs to "Big Daddy's" room.  He's hooked up on life support.  She tells him that the rest of her family couldn't turn it off so it has now fallen on her shoulders.  She tells him that he got lung cancer 2 years ago and she feels like she shouldn't have become a doctor so she could've been there with him.  She tries to turn the machine off but can't.  Cooper puts his hand on the button and she looks at him and nods. He turns it off. She turns and kisses her dad on the forehead. Cooper comes up behind and tells her it's ok to cry.  She says it's not.

Violet confides to Naomi that she's sleeping with Pete and Sheldon.  She says she's having female issues and Naomi tells her to see Addison.  Violet is in stirrups getting checked by Addison.  She tells her she needs a cream but should be fine, it's from having so much sex and tells her she calls it honeymoonitis. Naomi tells her she needs to pick one because she shouldn't be seeing 2 guys at once and that it'll never work.

Seth arrives at the hospital.  Sam tells him that Cynthia is willing to move to Florida, but that Seth should consider letting her stay.  He says he just can't look at her the same and that he feels that she betrayed his father.  Sam says she probably did the best she could and didn't want to break up his family, so she hid it.  He says he just doesn't know who she is anymore.

Addison and Wyatt check their trial cultures but none of them worked.  She says she can't go on a date with him and walks out.

Sonya is in the office lobby and Naomi approaches her.  Sonya tells her she probably should've talked to her first.  She explains that she will be careful with Maya's feelings because she had a divorced mom that dated lots of guys and knows how it feels.  Naomi seems relieved.

Addison tells Daron that the trial didn't work.  Gracie starts crying for him and coughing up fluid.  He's holding Julian and hands him to Addison.  He tells her he just can't watch her die alone.  He gives Addison his house keys and tells her to tell his son why he did it.  Julian is crying and yelling for his dad as Daron goes in to Gracie's room and holds her.

Seth returns to Cynthia's room and tells her that he forgives her and will try to be ok with her choice to stay.

Sheldon walks in on Violet and Pete sharing a quiet moment on the couch.  He asks her if she wants to go out.  She stands up and stares at them.  Pete and Sheldon figure out what is going on.  She tells them that she's been sleeping with both of them and knows that it's wrong but didn't know what to do.  Pete leaves and asks her "who are you." Sheldon stays to comfort Violet.  What is there to think about she should have chosen Pete from the beginning...forget Sheldon.

Sam tells Naomi that it's important for Maya to know who he is and who he's dating.

Charlotte and Cooper are flying home when she finally breaks down and cries in his lap.

Addison walks in to Wyatt's office and says she doesn't know what she's doing there, but kisses him.
