Ugly Betty

Ugly Betty: Dress for Success (Episode 225)

We begin the brand spankin' new episode of Ugly Betty with Betty being super excited about getting to meet the head of the YETI program. It's some woman she's been idolizing for, umm, forever. Betty fills in the fam on all the juicy details of her new idol while they decorate for the reopening of 'Hilda's Beautilities Plus," ghetto fabulous neon sign and all. I wish I was kidding about the name and neon sign but I'm not, it really is just that ridiculous.

Ugly Betty: Bad Amanda (Episode 224)

As the title of the episode suggests this week is all about bad Amanda. Things finally start to boil over between Amanda and Betty, and it gets real ugly.

Hilda is taking the advice from a couple weeks ago and turning her hair salon into a boutique. She's selling knock-off's of everything, specifically Prada Plada. Is selling knock-off's legal? I think not. We'll see how long it takes for her to get shut down for this.

Ugly Betty: When Betty Met YETI (Episode 223)

After last week's stormy (literally!) episode, this week Betty and Marc go head-to-head for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, while Wilhemina continues trying to seduce Connor and Daniel flirts with Connor's fiancée (sorry for the wife mistake last week!), Molly.

The episode gets off to Amanda calling for Betty to hand her a loofah in the bathtub. Betty reminds her that she's not her assistant. This is a continuing theme throughout the episode, clearly Betty is really starting to get sick of the assistant role.

Ugly Betty: Tornado Girl (Episode 222)

This week Betty is looking pretty in pink thanks to Amanda playing dress up with her. Amanda says it's like playing dress up with a plus size doll. Sometimes you have to wonder if she has any filter whatsoever. As usual Betty just lets the insults slide off her back. As they're walking Betty gets a call from the printer and finds out that they are running behind and the latest "fashion storm" issue will be delayed by a few hours. Betty goes and tells Daniel and he starts whining because he'll have to stick around longer now to give his final approval, which means he won't be able to ride with Conner to some management retreat they're having. Betty suggests that he go ahead to the retreat and let her do the final approval. After some hesitation he gives in and agrees. Betty jumps for joy and thanks him a a bazillion times.

Ugly Betty: Crush'd (Episode 221)

Lindsay Lohan's stint on Ugly Betty is officially over and Betty moves on to scoring with her next door neighbor. She waits and watches out her window to see when Jesse is coming upto the building in the morning and runs out to give him a coffee. She's so not obvious. She and Jesse have a good conversation and then he mentions that he doesn't have a TV and really wants to watch some documentary. She insists he come over to her place and watch it, he takes her up on the offer, it's a date.

Ugly Betty: Ugly Berry (Episode 220)

We begin with Betty on the phone with Hilda talking about Kimmy and how she hopes to avoid her. But, avoiding her isn't going to be so easy. Kimmy is at Betty's desk getting her make-up done. Daniel comes by, Betty tries to tell him about a plumbing problem at his apartment, but he's more concerned with what Kimmy wants to talk to him about. Kimmy has major plans for a charity event. As Daniel and Kimmy walk away to go start the planning they both tell Betty to get them breakfast. Betty is thrilled to once again be acting as Kimmy's assistant.

Ugly Betty: Granny Pants (Episode 219)

The theme of this episode and the Mode issue is "Love & War," well at least it's Daniel's theme, Wilhemina wants the issue to be about puppies -- because puppies are definitely high fashion. Betty runs into Claire at the photo shoot and mentions that Daniel hasn't mentioned Jr since he left. This could be partly due to his battle with Wilhemina for Editor-in-Chief status. Wilhemina arrives at the shoot and she and Daniel have a big fight over who is Editor-in-Chief and which theme they should do.

Ugly Betty: Betty Suarez Land (Episode 218)

We begin this week at the courthouse where things are about to begin for Alexis to be punished for pushing Christina down the stairs. There is a mob of reporters waiting outside. A town car pulls up and they all run to it assuming it's Daniel, but instead it's just Betty pretending to be Daniel. Daniel took the back entrance to get into the courthouse to avoid all the media. Way to go Betty!

Ugly Betty: Crimes of Fashion (Episode 217)

Last week ended with the dramatic twist of Christina being pushed down a stairwell by a mystery man. This week the police will be investigating and everyone, and I mean everyone, is a suspect.

We begin with Betty under interrogation. They ask her if she knows where Daniel was at the time. She hesitates and then we flashback six hours earlier to Betty on the phone with her dad on her way to work. Someone stole the umbrella she left outside her apartment door, so she has to walk to work in the rain. Oh well, Betty doesn't let this ruin her day. Then again, does Betty let anything ruin her day, ever? Anyway, she and Daniel have a chat about what's going on. He mentions that he was supposed to take his mom home the night before but he asks Betty to cover for him if it comes up and say he was with her packing things up at Player. Betty suggests he just tell the truth but he says it's just easier this way.

Ugly Betty: Filing for the Enemy (Episode 216)

This week Betty is given a tough choice; go back to Mode to work for the devil-in-disguise, Wilhemina, or stick it out at Player magazine and get to work for BFF, Daniel. You would think this might be an easy decision but of course it's much more complicated than it seems. So, will Betty turn to the dark side for Wilhemina or stay the good girl with Daniel?
