Dancing with the Stars: Season Four, "The Results"

After improved performances last night, John Ratzenburg and his partner Edyta Skiwinska have become the sixth couple to be eliminated from season four of Dancing with the Stars.  Defying all expectations by hanging in there for a seven-week stint, John’s run has come to an accomplished end.  Not only is he the oldest competitor in DWTS history, but he also joined this season’s cast late, with considerably less time to train before episode one.

Dancing with the Stars: Season Four, Week Seven

I’m officially the oldest 24-year-old I know.  Dancing with the Stars makes me laugh.  I catch myself smiling when no one else in the room is, and I was excited to watch last night’s episode, where each couple performed two scored dances.  But in my defense, things are getting more interesting as we wind down to the real competition (in other words, when Billy Ray and John are voted off).

Dancing with the Stars: Season Four, "The Results"

Armed with a farewell speech, Heather Mills knew this would be her week to leave the ballroom.  Thanking her partner, Jon, her hair, makeup and costume teams, as well as the orchestra and viewers, Heather is the fifth celeb to be voted off this season.

Returning next week to perform both a Latin and Ballroom routine are Apolo and Julianne, Laila and Maks, Joey and Kym, Ian and Cheryl, Billy Ray and Karina and—

Dancing with the Stars: Season Four, Week Six

With two routines to learn this round of competition, including a Latin dance and group Swing, the weak links had nowhere to hide. Standouts Apolo and Laila inched further ahead of the pack, while floudering John is the likely vote off tonight.

First up was Joey, looking to bring his masculinity back with a strong Samba and lots of hip action. The judges loved the dance, but knocked off a few points for footwork fumbles at the end. A score of 27 put Joey and Kym in third place.

NBA Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler and his partner Elena Grinenko were eliminated this week from Dancing with the Stars.  Clyde is season four's first male celebrity contestant to get the boot, joining the likes of female castoffs Paulina, Shandi and Leeza.

Returning next week to perform the Swing are Laila and Maks, John and Edyta, Joey and Kym, Apolo and Julianne, Ian and Cheryl, Billy Ray and Karina and Heather and Jon who shared the red light of potential elimination with Clyde and Elena.

Dancing with the Stars: Season Four, Week Five

Handing out perfect 10s like candy, this week's episode of Dancing with the Stars separated the dancers from the wannabes, and it looks like a male celebrity will finally get the heave-ho.

My early apologies for this brief recap; I'm currently in New York City (my first time ever!) and have hot dogs to eat, museums to visit and shopping to do!  But on with the dancing...

Dancing with the Stars: Season Four, "The Results"

On a night full of surprises, Leeza Gibbons’ elimination may have been the only thing that didn’t come as a shock. The third celebrity this season to get the boot, Leeza said goodbye in her typical cheerful fashion to the remaining eight contestants on Dancing with the Stars.

Back next week are Billy Ray and Karina, Apolo and Julianne, Laila and Maks, Clyde and Elena, Joey and Kym, Ian and Cheryl and Heather and Jon. Narrowly escaping elimination, John and Edyta will also return for next week’s Rumbas and Sambas.

Dancing with the Stars: Season Four, Week Four

After finishing my first Dancing with the Stars: Cardio Dance workout, I plopped my butt on the couch with the remnants of my Easter basket, ready for some solid B-list entertainment. Despite my newfound respect for each of the celeb dancers (these routines are not easy!), I'm less and less impressed with their performances each week. It's obvious Leeza, John and Clyde will be weeded out over the next three rounds of elimination, but until then it seems we'll just have to wait patiently for the real competition to start.Settling into the middle of the scoreboard with back-to-back lackluster performances, Laila and Maks delivered an unconvinving Paso Doble this week. There's nothing to report other than it was boring. Laila needs to step up her game next week if she wants to run in the top of the pack again.Apolo and Julianne were, as usual, cute and fun to watch. Although they claimed to have struggled with the romance and seriousness of the Waltz, they pulled it off to rave reviews from the judges (minus a technical comment from Len) and a score of 26.

Dancing with the Stars: Season Four, The Results

America, why are you sending the pretty girls home first? After being in the bottom two with Paulina Porizkova last week, game show host and former Miss USA Shandi Finnessey was eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars" this week.

With an initial response of “aww, game over," Shandi called her time on the show amazing and said she hopes she didn't disappoint partner Brian Fortuna. Also in jeopardy of elimination was Leeza Gibbons, despite her Tango being a top scorer with the judges.

Still in the running for the ridiculously shiny mirror ball trophy are Joey and Kym, Apolo and Julianne, Billy Ray and Karina, Laila and Maks, Ian and Cheryl, John and Edyta, Heather and Jon as well as Clyde and Elena. Each will perform either the Paso Doble or the Waltz on Monday's show.

Dancing with the Stars: Season Four, Week Three

Leeza over Laila? “Star Wars" tied with Steve Sanders?

Mediocre performances received high marks and the usual favorites took some heat as the remaining ten couples Tangoed and Jived their way through week three of “Dancing with the Stars."

Starting off the not-so-impressive night were Shandi and Brian. After finding herself in the bottom two last week, I was hoping Shandi would really lay it on the table this time around, but, alas, Barbie was back—all smiles from the head up and nothing going on below. Her movements aren't strong enough and she lacks a stage presence that some of the other dancers have already established. Nevertheless, Shandi still managed to land a score of 21, leaving her tied with Laila and Billy Ray at the end of the night.
