After seven amazing seasons following Lorelai and Rory Gilmore through their many up's and down's, the time has come for all the fun to end. We'll truly miss the girls, their fast talking and witty conversations had us hooked from day one. We'll miss Stars Hollow and all the quirky residents, even Kirk. We'll miss Richard and Emily, despite their stuffy attitudes we know they always meant well and we loved them for it. We'll miss Luke, he may have been confused about his feelings for Lorelai but we've known since the start that those two were meant for each other. We'll miss Sookie, and all her delicious looking creations, she was Lorelai's best friend and therefore ours as well. We'll miss Lane, we could always count on her for keeping us in the loop on the music scene, and like Sookie because she was Rory's best friend we couldn't help but love her too. We'll miss Paris, though she may have been slightly annoying at times we couldn't help but like her, she helped Rory and Rory helped her. We'll miss... well, what won't we miss about the Gilmore Girls?

Gilmore Girls - Unto the Breach
May 11, 2007Since my last recap it was announced that Gilmore Girls will not be returning for an 8th season. I know, I know, it's HORRIBLE! It may not have been as horrible if they had let us know it was going to be the Series Finale more than two weeks in advance. So, here we go with the second to the last Gilmore Girls recap, forever.
Lorelai and Sookie are walking through town. Lorelai is going on and on about everything she has to do before Rory's big graduation party. After that rambling the convo switches to Lorelai's thoughts on Logan proposing. She doesn't give us much insight into what she's thinking only saying that she thinks Rory is too young to get married. She complains that the anticipation of waiting to hear from Rory that Logan has proposed is what is really getting to her. Her first errand of the day is to stop by the cake shop and pick up the cake. Oddly enough once at the cake shop she tells the lady she's there to pick it up, she pays for it, and then her and Sookie walk out - with no cake. We never hear about the cake again. From what I gather I assume that was a blooper. Anyway, After the talk about Rory and Logan the convo goes onto Luke. Lorelai is embarrassed about her serenading Luke at karaoke night for all the town to see. Of course, she didn't actually mean to serenade him, but that is the way the whole town took it. She's not sure how Luke is going to react. Lorelai asks Sookie to help keep the town people off her back. Sookie nicely suggests if she wants to keep people off her back she might want to think twice before serenading someone in front of the town. Well, duh!

Gilmore Girls - Lorelai? Lorelai?
May 2, 2007Sorry for the recap being a day late guys. I was planning to do it this morning, but things got busy at my job. I interviewed Hayden Panettiere and Eric Roberts from NBC's "Heroes." They were both really fun to talk to. My job being, I run the online magazine, Teen Scene. So, from time-to-time I interview the stars of many of the primetime shows. Tomorrow I'll be interviewing former "Will & Grace" star, Debra Messing. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opp. to interview the Gilmore cast yet. When I get the chance I'll be sure to share the details with all of you. Anyway, enough of all that. It's time to dwelve into the world of Gilmore Girls and Tuesday night's spectacular episode.

Gilmore Girls - It's Just Like Riding A Bike
April 25, 2007The Gilmore Girls were back with yet another great episode last night. Less than a month left till the finale. It better come back for an 8th season! Word on the street is that it will be back, but with a shortened season - only 13 episodes vs 22. The final word on whether the Girls will return will come in just a couple weeks.
Last week on GG the town was in a frenzy over the annual Spring Fling. The event turned into just a hay bale maze but a fun one nonetheless. Rory got a job offer from a newspaper, but decided to turn it down in hopes of landing a spot in the Fellowship program with the New York Times. Luke and Lorelai have a short but sweet chat in the hay bale maze and things seem to be getting better between them.

Gilmore Girls - Hay Bale Maze
April 18, 2007Finally, a new episode of our favorite fast talking duo, Gilmore Girls. Last time (a month ago!) on Gilmore Girls, the twosome and Emily took a road trip to North Carolina for a friend's wedding, and Logan told Rory about his disasterous business deal afterward he hopped a jet to Vegas to blow off some steam.
Stars Hollow is in a fit preparing for its annual Spring Fling celebration, little do they know Taylor has taken the entire event budget to create his dream hay bale maze. Rory, meanwhile, is also in a fit of her own over her first real world job interview. What should she wear? What if her mind blanks and she can't think of anything to say? More importantly, does this girl ever just breathe?
Logan is apparently back from blowing off steam in Vegas over that multi-million dollar business deal gone wrong and he is now living with Rory and Paris. I'm not sure which would be worse, losing millions or living with Paris? The girl throws a tantrum because Logan used the last of the 2% milk so now she has no milk for her cereal. She does have like 4 other types of milk, but those just won't do.

Gilmore Girls - Gilmore Girls Only
March 8, 2007Sorry to all of you for the recap being so late. I wasn't able to watch the show and then had some problems with my TIVO. Apparently it was set on the wrong time. Finally I was able to watch it and I must say that it was a damn good episode! I hope you will forgive me for my tardiness. Sit back and enjoy!
So, we begin with Rory shopping for clothes to wear to her interview with the New York Times. The whole time Lorelai is trying to talk her into going on the roadtrip with her to the wedding in Charlotte, North Carolina. Rory doesn't want to though because she wants to be there for Logan considering all the crap he's going through at the moment. Despite his bad very bad judgements in recent weeks, she still is hoping he'll come to his senses and start acting responsibly.
Sometime later Rory is now at Logan's apartment. He is enthralled with YouTube and practically ignoring her. I like how the show makes it a priority to stay up-to-date and relevant with today's world and does it without coming off as stupid. As Rory is getting ready to leave there is a knock at the door. It's Mitchum. He is obviously upset with Logan for ignoring his repeated phone calls. He and Logan get into a big fight with it ending in Mitchum telling Logan to be at the office in an hour for a meeting to clean up his mess. After Mitchum leaves Logan tells Rory he can't believe what a jerk Mitchum is, but she doesn't give him any sympathy. She tells Logan that he is starting to act like the jerk. Logan sarcastically raises the question that maybe he is a jerk just like his dad, Rory tells him that maybe he is and storms out.

Gilmore Girls - Will You Be My Lorelai Gilmore?
February 28, 2007As I mentioned in last week's recap, this week's episode centered around Lane for the most part. However, we did make some progress on the Luke-Lorelai and Rory-Logan fronts. As uninterested as I thought I'd be the episode was actually very entertaining.
Rory and Lorelai are on the prowl for last minute items for Lane's baby shower. Rory really wants the party to be perfect so she is stressing out about all the details. During her stress out session with Lorelai, she receives a call from an editor at The New York Times. She had contacted him a while back, now he wants to have lunch with her the next day. It isn't the best time considering Lane's shower is also the next day so Lorelai gladly volunteers herself to Rory to finish things up for the shower. Rory heads to the city to spend the night at Logan's so that she can get ready for the meeting tomorrow.
Back home now Lorelai is decorating the house for Lane's shower as Sookie is catching up on the tabloids, namely In Touch Weekly (my favorite!). Sookie is really far behind -- back when Britney drove with Sean Preston on her lap -- Lorelai helps catch her up on the Spears-Federline saga. After that Sookie starts going through pictures of Rory and Lane, more Rory less Lane. Speaking of Rory, she's awakened at 3 am by Logan who comes stumbling in, obviously drunk, and starts rummaging through the refrigerator to make a sandwich. She is none to pleased, but offers to make the sandwich for him. After she is almost done making it he decides to forget the sandwich and passes out -- in the spot she was sleeping nonetheless.

Gilmore Girls - I'm A Kayak, Hear Me Roar
February 21, 2007With Richard back home, but still not totally back together chaos ensues at the Gilmore household. Lorelai tries to hold everything together and in the process seems to grow closer to Emily, however our hopes for that are smashed by the end. Meanwhile, Rory and Logan are celebrating his 25th birthday. They join his father, Mitchum, for dinner and while all seems to go well the dinner conversation leaves Rory feeling confused.
Lorelai makes an unexpected visit to Rory's apartment at the crack of dawn (6 am!). Paris and Doyle are already fully awake and practicing yoga. It seems like every episode that girl just gets weirder and weirder. Rory is also awake, thanks to Paris and Doyle. So, she and Lorelai go for a ride where Lorelai breaks the news that she and Chris have split up. She tells Rory that "it just wasn't right" and that they both knew that. Rory tells her that she's not totally surprised. They both agree that no matter what though Chris will always be a part of their lives, after all he is Rory's father. Rory asks who else knows and Lorelai tells her that it's just her that knows. We find out later in the episode that it's more like the whole town knows, including Luke. As they are talking they run out of gas. Ironically, these two who are always yapping on their cell phones don't have their cell phones on them this time so they are forced to start walking to find a gas station.
Apparently they must've found a gas station because we never hear about that again. Next time we see the Gilmore girls they are arriving at the older Gilmore's house for dinner. It is just Emily waiting for the girls to arrive. After some casual talking Emily offers up "mocktails" instead of cocktails because if Richard can't drink she doesn't want anyone drinking. Lorelai isn't real pleased about this. A night with Emily without alcohol, you'd have to be one brave person! Richard finally comes down but is in a horrible mood and complains about having to be pulled away from watching golf. He demands that they begin dinner right away. Once they are seated he starts griping about eating fish for dinner. Emily tells him it is Sea Bass and that it does not taste fishy which sparks an entire conversation on fish making Richard even more angry. He abruptly leaves dinner to go back to watch golf. The Gilmore household is always such a joy.

Gilmore Girls - Farewell, My Pet
February 14, 2007As the previews showed in near entirety, in this week's episode we find Chris and Lorelai fighting and eventually ending things, Logan and Rory getting closer, and Michel mourning the loss of his beloved dog.
We begin with Lorelai, Rory and Emily taking a walk around the hospital with Richard, just two days after his bypass surgery. As always, Emily is going on and on to Richard about the latest social happenings and who sent what. Richard talks to Rory about the class he was teaching and she tells him she was thinking of staying at the hospital for a week and then go back to Yale. All three tell Rory not to do that with Lorelai eventually talking Rory out of it.
Cut to the Inn, Michel brings his dog "paw-paw" to work because his other dog "chin-chin" passed away the night before. He and "paw-paw" were mourning the loss. Lorelai sort of suggests that Michel should have a memorial or something. Before she knows it Michel is forcing her and Sookie to plan it, immediately. Rory is also dealing with a lunatic (aka Paris) who is rambling about their detailed schedule, which takes up several huge dry erase boards, and Rory not doing things according to schedule. Paris nagging? Who would've guessed it. Rory notices an unopened box and it just so happens to be from Logan. It's a care package with a bunch of goodies such as a date book, stress ball, coffee beans, and more. He sure is laying on this good guy stuff pretty thick lately. I'm still not buying it. Paris, who I think was a little mad her boyfriend doesn't send care packages, started telling Rory that she had changed Logan - that she "owned" him. She suggested that she and Rory have Logan and Doyle get tattoos as a way to "brand" them. Rory disagreed and wasn't impressed with her joking so she left the room.

Gilmore Girls - I'd Rather Be In Philadelphia
February 6, 2007Surgery, fish and jazz, you get a little bit everything in this week's oddly emotional episode.
Continuing where last week's episode left off, Richard Gilmore suffered a heart attack while teaching a class at Yale. So, Rory is doing her best to reach Lorelai to let her know what happened. Lorelai is helping Babette move a plant and ignores Rory's first two calls, but is finally able to break away from Babette's babblings of lingerie and who knows what else. Rory breaks the news and Lorelai rushes to the hospital.
Once she makes it to the hospital the doctors fill her and Rory in on how Richard is doing. He did have a heart attack, but he is doing alright. They did an EKG and are waiting on the results, but they believe there is a blockage and depending on how bad it is they may have to do surgery. Shortly after this Emily arrives and, of course, she is more angry and bitter against the nurses than she is sad about Richard, or so it seems. She goes on to complain to Lorelai how the country club won't let her take her cell phone to play tennis and it took them forever let her know about Richard, then rambles about how she knows there are drug deals going on at the club. You can always expect Emily to bring a little bit of silliness to every situation, you can't help but love her.
