I have a hate/love relationship with May. I love that it is almost Summertime, my favorite time of year, but I hate it because I know it means that all my favorite shows are coming to an end, some ending for forever. On the season finale of Grey's lots of things are coming to an end, but on the otherhand lots of things are just beginning. So, let's get into the "anatomy" of the Grey's Anatomy season finale.

Grey's Anatomy - Testing 1-2-3
May 14, 2007I just read that the Grey's Anatomy spin-off has officially been picked up. YAY! To be honest, I think the spin-off was just as good as Grey's. I see a lot of similarities in the shows. I think it'd be great if they'd schedule them together for a "must-see Thursday."
Today is the big intern exam day or "test day." As everyone is getting ready for the day they are quizzing one another. While quizzing George, Callie finds a letter from Mercy West telling George that they have a position open for him, of course that is based on IF he passes the exam. Meanwhile, the morning has already fully gotten underway at Seattle Grace. Burke, the Chief, and Derek are standing outside waiting for three mountain climbers who have just been rescued from Mt. Rainier to come by ambulance. As they are waiting Burke tells the Chief and Derek that his best man had to back out, so he needs a new one. He tells Derek that he wants him to be his best man. Derek agrees and already starts planning the bachelor party.

Grey's Anatomy - The Other Side of This Life
May 10, 2007Two hours of Grey's Anatomy? ABC calls it a special event, I call it heaven.
It's the middle of the night and Meredith can't sleep. She is sitting on the couch endlessly channel-surfing. Izzie and Alex soon make their way to couch as well, apparently neither of them can sleep either. This would have been a perfect opp for an Ambien or "Sleepless in Seattle" commercial.

Grey's Anatomy - Desire
April 27, 2007Last week on Grey's, we found out that Izzie has an 11 year old daughter that she gave up for adoption. The girl needed a bone marrow transplant so Izzie did it for her. George helped Izzie get through it all, bringing the two closer again. A couple came forward claiming to be Jane Doe's family, but turned out not be, leaving Jane Doe once again all by herself. Meredith tried to push Derek and Susan away after they were a little too helpful. Cristina rubbed her relationship with Burke in Dr. Marlowe's face until finally he gave up and left Seattle Grace.
We begin this week with the interns cramming for their big upcoming exam. They are all sitting around playing their own twisted version of 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire,' hot seat and all. They are throwing around all kinds of words that no one really understands, but they are fun to say nonetheless. As they are all intensely going back and forth over answers, Burke is trying to shove cake down Cristina's throat. He wants her to make a decision on what cake they'll have at their wedding. What happened to the idea of just getting married at the courthouse?

Grey's Anatomy - Time After Time
April 20, 2007'Time after time' it seems we have waited for new episodes of Grey's Anatomy and finally we got one, and it was certainly worth the wait. Last time on Grey's, we sat watching in horror, and a little bit of embarrassment, as Izzie and George drunkenly hooked up, George met Callie's father while still hungover, and Alex helped Jane Doe decide on a new face for her reconstructive surgery.

TV Tidbits: NYT Hearts Sarah Silverman
February 1, 2007- Not one, but two pieces in The New York Timesabout Sarah Silverman's new program on Comedy Central, "The Sarah Silverman Program". Is the new show really that good, or does Ms. Silverman have a fan club at the Gray Lady? (NYT piece no. 1, NYT piece no. 2).
