The Apprentice
March 29, 2008
It's good vs. evil, the Brit vs. the American, it's The Celebrity Apprentice finale. As we saw last week, Piers and Trace have to plan a charity event, together, in which Piers will deal with the auction and food, and Trace will deal with the band (the Backstreet Boys) and decor. On Piers' team we have Carol and Stephen (who makes for an interesting choice) and on Trace's side we have Lennox and Marilu.

As promised in the last episode, two people were fired within the first 20 minutes of this weeks episode. But not before getting interviewed by MSNBC's Eric Burnett and Jim Cramer. When the tough questions were asked, like who should stay and who should go, things got a little bit hairy for the final four.
Jim and Eric meet with Trump to tell him who they think should make it into the final two. Jim tells him Trace and Carol, explaining his serious dislike of Piers. After meeting with them, Trump calls the final four into the boardroom.

Coming off the big Omarosa/Piers showdown (remember, she called him a homosexual, to which he responded by kissing Trace on the cheek), this week is sure to be a bummer compared to last week's drama filled episode. Piers even says Omarosa's 15 minutes are finally up, and I really hope so. Next to his three kids being born, Piers' most proud day is the day he handed Omarosa the biggest beating in Apprentice history. That's really sad.

It is what will become the biggest showdown in Apprentice history. Omarosa and Piers, both project managers of their teams, have made this competition personal. Very personal. The task is for the teams to pick an artist and sell their art at the same gallery.
Right off the bat, it seems Piers has the advantage, having a chose a digital artist whose work can be easily copied. Omarosa, however, chooses an artist whose work is, well, let's just say fairly priced. Hell, it's cheap. With paintings going for around $2,000 , their going to have to sell a hell of a lot of paintings.

Well, I wish I could tell you this episode was actually entertaining; however, I cannot. The teams meet Trump at the Hearst towers, where they learn this week's task. The teams must come up with an ad campaign for Dial's new yogurt body wash (yes, yogurt body wash...) to run in Redbook Magazine. Not only do the teams have to please one company, but now two, three if you include Trump. So there seems to be pressure from the get go, only I'm not sure Lennox is awake to perform. Tito steps up to the role of project manager for Empresario, and Carol is the pm for Hydra.

As all of team Hydra makes their way back up to their offices, Omarosa is just thrilled to be back on Empresario. Since no one got fired last week, Trump makes it a point to let the teams know someone will most definitely be fired this week.
The teams are brought to a helicopter landing pad where they meet with Trump and learn their next challenge: to direct a 10 minute, live spot on QVC selling an item. Marilu has decided to step up as project manager her first week on team Hydra, where Stephen decides to be pm for Empresario. QVC has pre-chosen a group of products the teams are to choose from. Should the teams choose the same item, they will have to fight to figure out who gets it. The helicopters are gassed and ready to take both teams to Pennsylvania, where the QVC headquarters are.

With team Empresario losing yet another challenge, Trump calls both teams into the boardroom to literally shake things up. Instead of taking one member of Hydra and putting them on Empresario, Trump decided to completely mix up the teams. This sends all contestants into a frenzy, especially Piers, who is praying to the gods above that he isn't placed on a team with Omarosa. If you love watching the cat fights like I do, I'm sure you want them to work together just as badly as I do. Luckily for us all, the two become teammates, and the battle begins.

With as many celebrities as there are on this show, there is bound to be drama. Throw in Omarosa, and there is bound to be blood. As the men arrive back from the boardroom, Omarosa and Piers immediately go at it, ending with Omarosa pouring a glass of champagne over the Englishman's head. This is not the first or last fight Piers will take part in, Stephen is up next.
After Piers called Stephen a hypocrite, Stephen makes the decision to follow in Vincent's footsteps and "resign" from the show. Trump calls Stephen a quitter and asks if he would like to move to team Empresario so he doesn't have to work with Piers. Stephen agrees and goes on his marry way.

Soprano's fan rejoice! Packing more heat than Tony himself, Big Pussy (a.k.a Vincent for those of you who didn't watch the greatest show of all time) puts Englishman Piers in check. Come to think about it, this episode has all the makings of a good Sopranos. Cheating, lying, spying, and even racial slurs fueled what is considered the biggest confrontation in Apprentice history. But first, we see Vincent giving a check (to his ex-wife) for $50,000 for a Pancreatic Cancer foundation. Turns out a very good friend of his, who just happened to be his ex-wife's new husband, passed away recently from the disease, making it a cause close to Vinny's heart.

It could be all the drugs, or it could just be that Gene Simmons is absolutely out of his mind. Either way, he is crazy and Trump has tapped him the new project manager of Empresario. Omarosa is not to pleased, but then again, she isn't exactly your typical, friendly teammate to begin with. It's immediately apparent there is some serious bad blood between the two.
Trump introduces the celebs to Jim Cramer, of MSNBC's Mad Money and tells them their next challenge: Kodak Mobile Printing Experience. The teams are to come up with a way to sell Kodak's new, revolutionary photo printer with some type of special ink, to people on the streets of NYC.
